If part of the reason the recruit committed was because of the coaches, then I think it makes sense for the recruit to wait, just to make sure that someone doesn't get hired away to some other school.

With that said, I would think the recruits will be under tremendous pressure to sign early, otherwise they risk people questioning their commitment.

That's fair, it's fair if kids just wait until Feb. which is what happened every year until this one. However, if I'm the staff and he isn't willing to sign early, I would act as if he's not part of the class. Continue to recruit him, but recruit others as well.

Especially, if he continues to have dialogue with other schools, like UM. Per their mods, they are going to continue to recruit him, try and get an in-home visit, and another campus visit. If he keeps that dialogue up, I'd have backup plans for sure.

Let's hope he's signs early and this is irrelevant.

At this point you have to wonder why he wouldn't sign? What is it about scUM or any other school that would change that drastically between now and February? We already know BK will be back. Jimmy promising him he'll start as a freshman? I can't see Harbaugh doing that. I think he signs.

Yeah - i think unless something bad happens, these two should have no problem red shirting when you now have 4 capable TE's ahead of you.

Other side would be well the following year, Weishar and Mack are gone and then you'll just have two TE's with playing experience. So if one of the two of Takacs and Tremble have earned some time then i'll throw them in garbage time so they have some time under their belt too.
