I remember when we all loved Alize...

There's an absolute beast hiding in there somewhere. Just not working out at ND right now. Wouldn't surprise me if the Alize we hoped for shows up next year in South Bend. Wouldn't surprise me if he left (by whatever means) and made it in the NFL, wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't make the CFL. He's sadly capable of anything.

Could be under the radar like Tyler Eifert. Remember he had to camp to get an offer and his best offer was Purdue

I don't see Alize leaving early for the NFL. Even if he did he'd go late, possibly undrafted; he hasn't shown enough IMO.

Had he played 3 straight years (like Rudolph) he'd leave after this year; if they were strong.

I don't think Alize was even ND's #1 TE in 2017, I do think he can be ND's #1 option TE in 2018.

Which is why the staff can’t count on him for next season. May also be the reason, Weishar decides to finish at ND vs being a grad-transfer.

Academic standing may be the wildcard. Nothing concrete but you hear the II guys wonder if that could rear its ugly head again.

can he play DE though? He measured 6'4ish, 225 and ran a laser-timed 4.63 in the 40 at the Nike Opening regional in Atlanta. Hundreds of kids there and it was the top time at the entire event for a TE or DE. If he can maintain that speed or even improve it while he adds another 25 or so pounds, he could be a nightmarish weakside end. A WDE with that kind of speed is way more valueable than a TE imo.

I think he is a great TE prospect, but I would much rather use the scholly elsewhere (DB, DLine, Linebacker, Oline).

his plan was always to commit on Thursday. Might be UCLA, but the timing has nothing to do with it.

Nobody seems confident. Wouldn't be shocked if it was UCLA, MICH, or ND. Only team that would actually shock me is if he picked Georgia.

UGA analyst with a Michigan CB.

Michigan with like 10 straight since Wiltfong's CB a few weeks ago.

I’d rather have an extra scholly for a missing piece after this first signing period.

Coaches retweeting his tweets, the entire staff got the last in home after Chip Kelly was in earlier. Obvious they want him. (Harbaugh in a sleeping bag outside Tommy's window in a tree doesn't count as an in home per the NCAA apparently.)

I thought he was gone. Recent CB's since Wiltfong went Wolverine say it's Michigan but none of the 3 ND 247 guys ever flipped... maybe they will tomorrow AM? So who knows really, as long as it's not UM. Tomorrow at 11:30a EST it is.

I'm taking the Skunk Bears here - just a gut feeling.

Probably overlooking things but that "Wow" makes me believe that CBK gave him something to think about - as if he was leaning towards UofM. Still think he wakes up tomorrow and picks the bad guys.

Georgia insider put down a Notre Dame cb. Hmmmm

Every ND source I texted to this morning thinks it's ND. So either ND guys are all wrong, or all Michigan guys (+ some national) are wrong.
