Kelly and Co have a good track record for identifying WR talent so I trust their offers.

Geordon could be the next Fuller/Stepherson, aka - unheralded recruit who has far more value than realized.

Also, Geordon is a straigh line prospect right now with track speed and that pairs well with what we have now and what we potentially could finish with (a certain 5 star shifty prospect).

I think he'd be a great fit for the class we're bringing in. We've got tall, physical WRs, downhill guys at RB, a big safety valve at TE and a QB with the legs and arm to warrant a spy. Add a deep threat/speed guy, and you can do a whole lot.

Hope he's Irish today.

This is a good point. I always put that on Denbrock being a great position coach who could identify that talent, but it's possible that we can keep that diamond-in-the-rough thing going.

I will say that I HATE recruiting Cali skill position players. It seems like everyone who is halfway decent is a "95" rating and then they suck once they get to college.

Brandon Huffman says ND. Will have a write up on Porter after his commit but said all you need to know now is he's a bit raw as a route runner but speed, speed, speed.

Huffman flipped his CB to ND and Sampson added his.

You really never know with these speed first players. Will they develop to be a Will Fuller or will they fall into the role of specials teams ace. What we do know is we absolutely don't have a dynamic returner running 4.3 to begin with. I would argue our return game might end up playing a big role (bad/good) whether its on the punt or KR because these next few games wont be blowouts. Usually comes down to field positioning at the end of the game.

How is his competition? It's California, but doesn't look the best on film.

Special teams ace is a pretty nice floor for any prospect. If he's truly got 10.4 speed then I understand picking him up with an eye to being a returner who could maybe give you a few go routes on offense.

To be honest, how many do... including the NFL? CJ Sanders was a track star in HS, state champ in Tennessee as a Jr who ran 10.6's. Had CJ gone to Washington, he may have had the 8 return TD's in place of Dante Pettis... instead of the 4 he has at ND.

REALLY strong. He's in the Baseline League with Rancho Cucamonga & Upland, plus played Corona Centennial, Fontana Summit and Redlands East Valley. Big time football area of the Inland Empire.

To be fair, he's never broken 10.6 (which wins most classes in the majority of states) but I think Dad saying he's potential 10.4 & 10.3 is as much proud Dad talking as the former HS ALL AMerican who knows going from 10.60 to 10.40 and under is a BIG task. Especially for a kid who has grown up training with his Dad. If it was a kid who ran a God gifted 10.6 with no training ever in his life, he has a much better shot at shaving off a couple tenths with learning proper techniques and proper training.
