I didn't know for sure where he was going to contribute but felt this was inevitable. I will admit, I didn't expect it so soon. Loved this kid from the get go.

The "Cali recruits are a waste of time" guys might be eating crow if the starting CB tandem is Bracy & Rutherford, Book's lined up behind Patterson and Banks, Lamb is the QB of the D at Mike and Foskey becomes the next Kareem.

Bracy played great

I know Vaughn didn’t play great but didn’t they want to mix in Bracy to get Vaughn a breather?

For his size Vaughn should at least be a good tackler but he isn’t. Looked better with the number 35 on his back.

No doubt Tariq is a player. Really stood out yesterday.

Really disappointed in Vaughn though. He seems to have regressed since his freshman year.

I’m going to say it again. Bracey is a player, baller, a dog. The sky is the limit for this kid the next two years.

Wanted to highlght his play. He's had a rough career at times and tonight he held his own against one of the best WR corps in the country. He made several excellent tackles in the open field to prevent first downs and didn't really get beat in coverage either. Nice job.

Consistent performance all night. One good take away from the game is this is the first time in a long time our defensive backs played the ball well most of the game.

I love Bracy’s play, especially now that he’s showing his ability to tackle bigger receivers in the open field.

He should hold his head high. Defense played very physical. I thought our DL would be a bit better from a pressure standpoint, but the coverage was really good against probably the best WR group in college football this year.

Bracy was awesome last night from what I saw live. He might earn a late round pick in the coming draft. Was very consistent in his coverage and tackled well when it was needed. The defense did everything they were asked to do.

Semi-related:

Bracy has been victim to more "outstanding throw AND catch" plays than any other corner in college football, I bet.

I feel like there have been four or five instances where he's been in nearly perfect coverage, but gave up a tough catch because the QB put it the only place it could go, and the receiver made an incredible adjustment to secure the ball.

It happened against UNC in '20, and again this year. I know there are two or three others I just can't put my finger on with specific year/opponent.

He slipped on the first TD, not sure he can make the play anyways as it was indeed perfect. The second one he got picked. So definitely tough “Ls” to assign.
