I was writing in Matrix code-fixed it.
Congrats Brock!
Brock Wright looks to be the most complete high school tight end I have ever seen.
And he has two high school seasons left?
This kid looks like a twenty-five-year-old; if the cliché, "man among boys" was ever true, WOW!
This kid can block like a tackle or a guard, can knock people over carrying the ball, after the catch. It seems he has enough speed to get separation, (at least in high school.)
Does anyone know within what division/ league he plays? I am too lazy to do the research.
I asked someone I know, who just might know a thing or two about college football, and evaluating players, just how good Brock was. And the reply I got was no school may have ever landed two tight ends in three classes as good as Jones and Wright!
I asked about (for example) Rudolph and Eifert, and the response was, "Time will tell!" And I was reminded that they actually were in consecutive classes, though Eifert red-shirted. Also, of course I got back that we were talking about committing out of high school, and that Eifert really developed at ND, etc.
Further needling on my part revealed that in one opinion Wright is the better blocker, and Jones has a better catch radius, all though both have great, natural, and soft hands.
The hallmark of both tight ends is that neither has to break stride for an adequately placed ball. He ended saying that I shouldn't split hairs, and the point is that if this goes according to plan, ND will have such an embarrassment of riches at tight end that they will have the potential to be an incredibly dynamic offense.
Finally, he wondered aloud what '16 Tight End would have the balls to commit to ND with this situation playing out!
Oh yeah, and I asked him about the possibility of Wright being one of those guys that peaks out in high school. His reply was that from everything he heard, Brock had a work ethic that set him apart, and he probably hasn't finished growing/maturing. (I am not sure of the actual wording.)
If we somehow reel in Hunter, AJ Epenesa, Jerron Cage, Robert Beal & Jedrick Wills that would be so

Although the goat highlighted in this GIF is pretty awesome, I'd like to draw your attention to the one that by all accounts should have had his clock cleaned by the double legged kick of the flying goat. Quick twitch moves. Would make a good slot receiver.

Yea, Im perfectly fine with Wright and Aliz'e and no '16 TE. But there's always Claypool in '16 who could develop into a TE or a flex WR/TE. I'd take him in a heartbeat. I'd imagine we'll have more than one TE in on a lot of plays too if we go power run like a lot of us are thinking and hoping for. Claypool offers a different skillset than Wright and Aliz'e also, IMO. And even if Claypool doesn't work out at TE, he could also be valuable on defense.
So I'd say if we don't get Claypool or Farrell in '16 then I'd be ok with passing on a potential TE for this cycle. I really hope we land Claypool tho.
Would not have been hit in the face by the deflected football.
No. 64 in Scout's first release of Top 100 for 2017
Also, ranked #1 TE.
committed to ND. still a 3 star.
3 Stars?

Scout has had him with 4 Stars for at least a month according to the this page. Check the stars on the left and the four star mention in the into text on the articles linked on that page.
I believe YJ is making a funny that Brock is a 3 star in spirit as an ND commit.
This kid is a sophomore, but with his current size and performance level, if he continues to develop with his good coaching, he may be one of the best ever.

We have two recruits from the '17 class. You have said that one may be the best ever and the other is the best TE you've ever seen. We're all excited, it's a great pickup. Please stop doing this, it's so ridiculous that it begins to get really annoying.

Those positions as worded are easily defensible. No need to call him out because he's hyped.
