Time for those Best/Worst lists of the year!

I keep seeing at different sites lists for Worst movies of the year...hear are links to various lists, but please let us know what you think stunk or were at least heavily disappointed in.

I always think its interesting how some of the ones some people thought stunk are ones that might show up on somebody else's good list.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen, had to turn it off part of the way through it.

R.I.P.D. was one of those movies that i watched and had the thought " how could this possibly have been made?" . I thought Iron Man 3 was terrible as well.

Man of Steel was good, not great. Far from worst of the year. If anything it brought me back to my childhood and kind of reinvented superman again

Yeah I don't get the Man of Steel hate. Was at least an average movie. Visuals were terrific and I thought casting was perfect.

I agree that Iron Man 3 was pretty bad.

Man of Steel was a good movie... can't say I hated Elysium either.

Yeah, don't really understand that either. They were both OK movies... nothing horrible.

After Earth, Lone Ranger, and Jobs were all awful movies. Truly awful.

Never saw Walking with Dinosaurs or The Host... but in reading the reviews I can totally see where they would be dreadful.

took my 7 year old who absolutely loves dinosaurs, watches documentaries on them and i think he was less than impressed...absolutely great 3D effects but the script was dreadful

Host was not bad...but I read the book so it probably made much more sense to me.

I like Michael Shannon, but as General Zod, I was bored. I think it was the Caesar cut.

Also, the romance between Kal-El and Lois Lane was clearly contrived by a crew of Lifetime writers.

Other than that, Man of Steel was perfectly average.

Nice effects.

*It wasn't the worst by any means, but I was pretty disappointed with "The World's End".

I really liked Dallas Buyers Club.

I have high hopes for American Hustle, Mud, 12 Years A Slave, Gravity, etc.

12 Years A Slave reminded me of The Passion of the Christ. Brutal scenes. I wanted to leave the theater... but not because it was a poor film.

The two White House attack movies were unbelievably pathetic. White House Down and Olympus Has Fallen… up there with the worst.

Despicable Me 2 was arguably the best movie of 2013...

Saw Wolf of Wall Street last night. Gets my vote for Best of the Year. Was a little long but otherwise fantastic.

...or maybe it was all the boobies.

Agreed, liked the movie a lot but it was far and away my least favorite aspect of the movie

I just watched that on the plane (how I do all of my movie watching for the most part) and was disappointed by the lack of laughs. I really liked Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead... so yeah, I totally get where you're coming from.

Alternatively, "This is the End" after a couple drinks was absolutely hilarious for the most part. Don't know if the humor holds up sober, but I was dying laughing at some parts (especially in the beginning of the movie).

The scene with Matthew McConaughey at the restaurant may have been one of the funniest things of all time.

I agree it was fantastic

I am utterly ashamed to admit that I saw the Ethan Hawke movie that was out this summer (I can't even remember the name of it)-- no lie when I say it is the worst movie I have ever seen in the theater...and right up there on the list of worst movies I have ever seen...anywhere.

I watched this over the holidays. A must see for dudes that like the Seth Rogan group of actors (Michael Cera, James Franco, etc). People either like this type of humor (dick jokes) or they don't. If you do like this type of humor, then this is an awesome flick. Laughed beginning to end.

I saw it in the theater, which is about a 2-3X a year occasion for me. Unfortunately, I was very much sober and with high hopes. It's possible that "The World's End" would be funnier after a few drinks as well. Shaun of the Dead is classic in my book. Hot Fuzz was quality humor as well.

"This is the End" had me rolling with Michael Cera's character.

I think this year was a very down year for movies. We were spoiled in 2012 with Avengers, Dark Knight Rises, Zero Dark Thirty, Django Unchained etc..

Very few high quality movies in 2013. Fitting because 2013 just sucked in general.

That dude is in a million movies every year. It's difficult to find a film that he's not in, so don't feel too bad.

A few Christmas season releases may really improve the overall year. Here are some December releases for 2013:

- The Life of Walter Mitty
- Ronin 47 (could go either way)
- Wolf of Wallstreet
- Anchorman 2
- Saving Mr Banks (for the ladies, has gotten good reviews)
