Mobility wise he seems faster than Kizer, his stride looks more glidey and less clunky

I don't think he's faster than Kizer - Deshone is actually pretty fast. Check the video at 2:13. I do think he's better as far as short-area quickness is concerned, but he's definitely still a long strider and wouldn't have that same level of agility as Golson, Avery Davis, other short QBs.

My questions are: 1. Is he actually 6'4 or is he 6'5 or frightening 6'3 which I could see. 2. He does look fast, how fast actually he is? 3. I want to see how strong his arm is?

He does look like he has a huge ceiling which I like and he will not have to play right away at all which is good.

All valid points - I agree he has high upside. I'm anxious to see how much weight he'll be able to add as well. Reminds me a lot of Devin Gardner - who also had very high upside, he just never put it all together. Great tools though.

I think the more impressive testament to Kizer's speed is the very last highlight in that film, his run against Stanford. He shows good speed and surprising acceleration.

Anna confirmed last night with his father that the visit is locked in for Sunday and monday. The only way it could change is if he work schedule gets altered. Sorry if this was posted above. I'm on my phone at the moment.

It seems as if ISD, Rivals and 247 are getting different info that Ms. Hickey.

I can only speak to Rivals and 247 but the disconnect seems to be that Hendon is talking to those 2 and Hickey has spoken with his father. Hendon keeps saying that he's unsure if his father can do it and Hendon's father is saying it's happening. So, I guess we'll see, but if dad's driving and he says it's a go, I'd like to believe him.

Watched the first 5:12 of hslis huddle. You're looking at Jameis Winston. Look at how he stays/moves in the pocket.

My biggest hang-up is the throwing motion. I feel like if he cleans it up, bulks up and works on his footwork then yes, very high potential.

Too many flaws. Do not want.

Most QB's coming out of HS aren't completely dialed in including the 5 star kids. I'll trust Sanford to fix those things.

I'll happily take this kid over Davis based on size alone. No offense to AD.

I like the idea of grabbing Hooker then going for one of the top overall QBs in the class of 2018. As a 3* currently, Hooker is less likely to scare away a big fish in 2018, but also appears to have a pretty massive upside.

Interesting that you posted Kizer's first year highlights. Because DeShone, played that exact same way his junior, and senior year, check his highlights.

The biggest difference was that his competition is much bigger and faster.

But if you notice the run against SC; the one that he ended up end-over-end, his acceleration leaves a couple of (supposedly fast) USC defenders in the dust. There are a couple of plays like this. Yes he has a long stride, but he has some afterburners with his jets too!

So if this kid is most of that, I think we take him. The worst we have is another fairly tall quarterback that is good enough of an athlete to play a half-dozen positions.

Does no one see this? Curious.

I don't know ... he doesn't put much velocity on any throws I saw watching the first half of his tape. In some cases, his throws seem to be complete lobs that would get picked more often than not by good D1 DBs. He is a better runner than Winston, but he doesn't wow me with his running ability either. But, if the coaches like him, I guess it doesn't matter what I think.

I agree that nothing in the 5 minutes I watched showed me he has a strong arm. But the way he runs, effectively but kind of gingerly for a big man, and his size and how he stays in the pocket when people are coming into him, just felt like a young Jaemis to me.

Obviously the staff will harp on footwork, the playbook, gaining good weight -- I just wonder what they will do to fix the throwing motion. Tebow comes to mind. I know, Heisman trophy winner, National Champion...but that throwing motion was hideous. Devin Gardner never really got fixed either. I'm glad that he's going to have plenty of time to learn and I do have a ton of faith in Sanford (if he stays).
