Both Jafar and Michael Young have been impressive and came to South Bend in great shape. Per ISD

I think Jafar is gonna have a good career in South Bend.
I think Jafar is going to see the field this year. I think 247 nailed it having him in the top 300.

Excited to see him in action during fall camp. That’s a really nice weight for Jafar to be at. Prosise was 6’1/2 220 his senior year.

Side note, it wouldn’t surprise me if this what KAR turns into at ND.

I've seriously thought through this for at least two minutes, what is KAR?

Kyrie and Jafar? Is it a celebrity couple name for our backfield?

This makes me feel, oh, 20% better about the RB position. I had mentally assigned him to a change of pace role but if he's fit at that weight...

Here's a pic to get you up to 33%.

It's from when he was still in the 190's. That's a lotta azz & legs for a WR that runs 10.7's.

Doesn't take a psychic to see RB might be his thing.

Interestingly enough, it seemed like people were concerned about the physical development of the young or new RB’s. Jahmir Smith is almost identical to Theo and Jafar to Prosise. Now it may not be quite as developed but they have the ultimate size to compete.

Didn't see this post earlier but yeah holy cow. I'm shocked he was originally considered a WR with that build.

If he has the IT to be a RB like Prosise did, then he's gonna be dangerous cuz he seems to have the physical skillset to be just that.

In the limited video I've seen of him, I can see it. Same goes for Avery Davis. If things develop like I think is possible, everyone is healthy and they use Dex amap, this could be one helluva year.

Wouldn't shock me to see a 80's/90's like season where fans have to keep a roster in hand to figure out who just broke off the last 20 yarder.

Figures we would suddenly become deep with a stable of RBs the year we don't appear to have any generational talents at OL. I guess that's just cfb.

Definitely wouldn't say that. Who knows who the next Martin or McGlinchey may be?

Alex Bars & Sam Mustipher could be All Americans this year. With a special year, Alex Bars could actually be a 2nd Round pick which is pretty big time. Also Liam Eichenberg already has an NFL OL build. He could turn into a first round pick if he can put together that frame with his impressive athleticism and technique. That’s a big if but there is a lot of talent at ND to say that they don’t have any generational talent.

To be clear, my definition of a generational talent is "once in a generation", which should be, by definition, not something you see every year even looking at 1st rounders. So my statement was really made somewhat facetiously, as a generational OL talent can't be expected. More a joke at the recent embarrassment of riches we've had lately than a dig at the current players.

I do hope your belief in the current OL crop comes true though. If Quinn could keep the train rolling I would be pumped.

Yea I hear you on that. I sorta was looking at it from the lense of will the OLine be good this year? And I absolutely think it will be. When it comes to generational talents (AKA high 1st rounders), I’d say Liam Eichenberg, Aaron Banks, and Josh Lugg could potentially fit that mold physically and now it remains to be seen if they can actually play. I’ve heard Andrew Kristofic has a 1st round type of potential too. Should be interesting to watch this year.

I’m on the bandwagon, let’s get it, Jafar. He’s going to make some big plays this year. While makings some LB’s look foolish.

He stole JOK's lunch in a highlight from last week, I felt bad he did his teammate like that (not really).

I hope they can provide some spark to the backfield until we get Dex back next for Stanford. Would be huge.

Count me in, Jafar is in for a big year IMO.

Hype on Jafar from CBK has been pretty high. I am intrigued but skeptical.

What are you skeptical of? His physical abilities? His usage in the offense?

Not the first breakthrough kid CBK has pumped up but how many have come close to living up to that billing? He will have every opportunity in the RB spot the next four weeks to secure a high volume role in the offense for sure, lots to rise up to for a kid that hasn't taken a live action snap yet.

Was at the game yesterday you can call me out for what you want but I think starting next year this kid has Heisman potential. He will be our number 1 running back and after yesterday I think he is our go to WR. There was a series in the 2nd Q where he ran and caught two long passes back to back to back. Does anyone know why he didn’t play in the second half barely?! Anyways he was lining up all over the field yesterday.

IMO because he doesn’t break tackles and misses holes. Which should be expected for a kid who is playing RB for the first time. Tony Jones Jr will put his head down and get what the defense gives him, except on that one play yesterday but I think he learned his lesson.

The Heisman stuff is funny. I think he didn't play much in the second half because he missed some holes, didn't make many people miss, missed a few key blocks, and didn't run hard enough. But it was cool to see him on those three consecutive plays you are talking about.

I don't know what the future holds for Jafar but after his first 2 games in the rotation, he has more touches/targets than anyone else. If that continues throughout his career and he picks up how to be a RB like Prosise did, his name will be used in the same sentence as Heisman at some point.

Yep. Basically what I said also.

I think we all agree that he is def an offensive weapon and the future is bright for him.
