I have a hard time seeing him come out of this weekend not reaffirming his commitment to Penn State. I just think it's really hard to make up ground this late with him taking another visit there surrounded by their commits and such. He would have to REALLY love ND to make a flip.

It's pretty sad that he's like one of four guys where the reason we might not land them is that we're "too late" on the offer. But some people still like ND's chances here, so hopefully they're correct. No doubt he would've signed with ND with an early offer, so maybe that wins out.

I'd like to know what the percentage is of kids we landed after coming in with late offers? Even though most schools do it, I've always felt the recruit might perceive it as a slap in the face. They're smart enough to know they are getting a late offer because a schools first or second choice didn't pan out.

I agree.

Beware the James Franklin full court press. Franklin may be an idiot, but he might be the best coach out there at pumping kids up... it usually wears off with time, but in this case it only needs to last a week.

I think the reason Jafar Armstrong is visiting the following weekend is because the staff will know my monday if Mac is coming or not. If he doesnt cancel his ND visit, it means he will be Irish.

I think ND needs to tell him we want you, you are in the class now when you visit if you want to, but if you go back to PSU, we're too thin to take the chance you stick there. If you want ND, ND wants you, and your spot is cemented, but that PSU visit is off if you want it.

This is the obvious approach and benefits all 3 sides, and I expect they take this stance. So if he visits PSU, I have to agree with LAX, he's gone.

IMO ND has a great excuse....just hired a whole new staff that has different opinion on a recruit's value than the old. Makes perfect sense even though we all know it is because ND whiffed or decommitted on the other recruits. But it sounds good and is a major facesaver for the recruit to buy the lies

This is true, I honestly think that helps on both sides of the ball. Different guys, different evaluation... maybe easier sell on defense.

It certainly can soften the blow for this cycle, but one might still wonder given BK is still the HC.

You can't assume every kid has an ego that cannot handle the realization that they aren't the absolute top recruit. Many kids are realistic and can put the 40 year decision over their ego. If they feel they have something to prove they can do it over the next 4 years.

He went, so now it's on. Time to sit back and patiently wait.

The fact he still went after speaking with the coaches says a lot. I'd be surprised if he switched to ND.

This is my thought as well... People I talked to a few weeks ago didn't think he had a real shot to flip him... However the last week or so I thought maybe the tide was turning, but now, I am pretty sure they knew what they were talking about

I think that nobody knows anything and we should all just sit tight and wait. It's a teenager. Who knows.

I could see him being the next Will Fuller? I can see him being the diamond in the rough of a recruiting class.

Agree to a point, as I don't think he has Fuller's top end type speed. He got caught a few times this past season from behind.

Fuller wasn't the speed demon in HS as he was at ND... And I have no idea why the smiley icon is at the top..O didn't put it there

I thought I had read somewhere that his personal trainer had said we were getting an absolute stud in Fuller. I was thinking his trainer was especially boasting about his speed, I'll see if I can find that.

Fuller credited longo who made him faster... He was about the only one who expressed anything positive regarding longo

Their 247 site said his ND visit is off for this weekend. Loy was going to do some digging.

James Franklin and his mind tricks.

Hopefully the effect of the drugs wear off my mid-week.
