ISD/Freeman had an update. They think he is loving his visit, but can't talk to him yet as he is still on campus, having decided to spend the night w/ Boykin. But his mom and dad have been amazed and the ND staff has hit a home run with the family. They arrived Friday, so have seen everything (dad was seen wearing an ND hat yesterday).

“I know they’re really high on academics, they have a lot of alumni connections going on there, great football program, they’re a powerhouse every year, and they pass the ball a lot, so it was definitely a great experience and they left a great impression on me.”

“I had a chance to get a feel for the coaching staff as well as the players and team chemistry, and I was getting the inside scoop from the players and I can tell they’re down to earth people there and the coaches are the same guys recruiting me as when you get there.

“That was big.”

“I want to visit Georgia, possibly Nebraska and maybe get out West and back up to Michigan,”

“I’d say UCLA, I’d say Stanford, Notre Dame, Michigan, maybe a visit to Georgia will put them up there, Alabama, those schools.”

Wow, was surprised not to see OSU on there. Makes me feel better about our chances, but there is still some pretty tough competition remaining.

WILTFONG-stated ND VS michigan battle

There's a good chance ND has a former 3 star drafted in the 1st round, and another former 3 star that only caught 4 TDs last year drafted anywhere from rounds 4-6. I'd be selling kids hard on Denbrock's and BK's player development at the WR position.

I know he doesn't have OSU in his current final grouping, but interesting to see this quote in the article..
“His whole goal was to play high school football, go to Ohio State, go to the NFL and become a family man,”

Yeah, they haven't offered yet. I'd imagine an OSU offer could be a game-changer, but who knows.

That's stinks. Even if he is commits, an OSU offer would trump it.

Kid should look at it like this. Kelly has put one and most likely two first round WR's in the league. I don't believe Urban has ever put one. Michael Thomas going into the season was supposed to be one. But Urban never developed him and he will be a second rounder.

it's all debatable but Thomas has been listed as the #1 wr by many scouts

#1 by whom? Top WR's consensus I have seen are Treadwell, Doctson, Colemen and Fuller. Those four would be the only ones to go in the first round.

I saw at the beginning of the year he was #1, but since then he has slid.

Yes forgot about him. Ok so Kelly 2 (in less than a month) Urban 1.

If Fuller goes in RD. 1, then CBK will have 3.

I just watched his '12 highlight film on Youtube and he was attached ONE time. He lined up outside as much as the slot. Tyler Eifert was a WR going into the NFL.

Rotoworld's Josh Norris "wouldn't be surprised" if some teams rank Ohio State WR Michael Thomas "as the class’ top receiver."

like i said it is debatable of who is, just pointing out that others have him listed higher than 2nd round and possibly the 1st wr...i can't get onto the nfl.com site due to work and some other sites so there could be more...just happened to come across these this morning/early afternoon shortly before seeing you post that so it was just fresh in my head of seeing 2 people back to back stating him or sources/teams as the #1

The Wolverines were recently named in a top five for Cheshire (CT) Top100 WR Tarik Black along with Alabama, Notre Dame, Stanford and UCLA. I wrote previously that he would commit to Alabama if they would let him, and at this point it's unclear if he's a take for the Tide. If that's truly the case, it's a relatively wide open race in my opinion. Michigan will push here, most likely, as the chances with Nico Collins continue to dwindle.

Thanks GB. Is it Lorenz or someone else?
