1st Team AA on ESPN's team

OG: Aaron Banks, Notre Dame

Banks, a 6-5, 330-pound senior, has been the enforcer on a Notre Dame offensive line that is one of the strongest in the country. He's a road grader in the running game from his right guard position but is equally skilled as a pass-protector. Nicknamed the "Dancing Bear," Banks allowed just two sacks in 844 snaps as a junior and has been an even more complete offensive lineman this season.

I saw that. 3 overall between offense and defense.

Edit: whoops, just 2. Not sure why I thought there was 3

That All American tag will hold some weight. Interested if teams thinks he can play OT or just leave at OG

WELP! Next year is definitely a rebuilding year now. All those post-season accolades must’ve made it an easy decision for Aaron.

It's a smart move. He is an All American. They aren't winning it all next year. Go get paid.

Ouch and bummer but best of luck to the young fella who did a hell of a job at ND!

Don't blame him... Football is a game nowadays that you have to strike while the irons hot and his stock is as high as it's going to get.

Our guys seem like they can't wait to leave when they get the chance and then you have Alabama's Harris come back to play his senior season for them because, evidently, it's such a wonderful experience

Banks came back for his senior year too. What's your point?

Harris just didn’t like the thought of paying taxes on his salary. At Bama his salary isn’t disclosed. Lol

Dude really? I know Alabama never has any underclassman leave early for the NFL draft. Last year when Ruggs, Juedy, Wills, etc. all left early it must have been a huge shock to the coaches, teammates and fan base.

I find it ridiculous the mods on this site continue to let this obvious troll keep posting. Smdh

What a great player! He’ll be missed and I wish him well. I think he’s going to be a very good pro

Whatever. I've posted on here for going on two years now. I'm no troll. Pissed off a bit, for sure.

Harris improved his draft stock.

“They said I can’t catch, the said I can’t pass block, I can’t make defenders miss, I can’t break a long run. They said I’m not elusive in a way, I’m not a third down threat. I’m just like, ‘have y’all seen the film? What y’all taking about?” - Najee Harris three weeks ago

The I love Bama, I’m hungry is what they say when they announce. The real reason is almost always Draft related.

I’m a little surprised as I thought Aaron was going to come back to show the world he can play OT.

Anyway I would like to say thank you to Mr. Banks for the past three years of spectacular offensive line play. He has been one of my favorites to watch the past few years. When you lookup dancing bear in the dictionary there is a picture of Aaron Banks.

I was very surprised by this, but I found out that Banks was 23 already.

He's already old for a senior.

I would imagine he feels more rushed to make the money now while his legs are still good.

Fair enough. I guess I'm just still in vent mode

If you are going to vent, do it in a way that actually has validity. The comment about Banks is completely wrong. He came back for his senior year, just as Harris did. He did have a fifth year option, but that is really asking a bunch from him when he will likely have solid draft positioning. Honestly, this take is worse than your Ohio State take, and that is saying something.

You're right. I thought Banks was a junior. Everybody kept hoping he would come back. I was wrong. And when I'm wrong, I say it.

I apologize, all.

This.

Not to mention he has missed a couple of games before due to injuries. It would be a tough ask for him to come back and potentially risk getting injured during the season leading to the draft.

I figured the logical decision for him would be to enter the draft, unless he really wanted to be an OT. He will be missed, and I wish him the absolute best.

Yep, good luck to Aaron. Was really hoping he'd come back. This just pushes us closer to rebuild than I had hoped, but c'est la vie I guess.

It's also widely speculated that Bama and Clemson are helping out the financial aspect of their star players staying for a year. Like on what works did it make sense for Etienne to come back?
