Chris hawkins dad is the coach for the 7 on 7 team(he likes ND despite his son going to usc...wiltfong said we will be in it for him until the end

"As a dad I'm super excited," Thomas Graham Sr. said. "I can see my son playing for a storied program like ND."-247

Perhaps this year will go back to the norm, and it will be "the annual Cali kid we're in it with until signing day when he signs with USC"

Considering he's "committed" to USC, I don't think that this is the direction this one goes. Think more Daelin Hayes.

more of a JuJu Smith situation, coachs/parents loved ND, ND puts in shit loads of work, kid chooses USC to be with his friends

I understand the pessimism and will carry some of my own here, but it should be noted this is a march visit on their dime to.... Indiana.

And, you know, he's not from Fresno so that immediately increases the odds by at least 1%, from 0 to 1, lol

He and Steven Carr "decommitted" on the same day a few months ago but it was later rephrased as still committed but looking around. So I peg them as a 5.8 on the commitment scale.

With Thomas Graham being the #1 CB in SoCal you have to guess SC is the spot. ND has to find their place with SC, UCLA, Stanford & now Washington. Lot of hype with the Huskies down here. Coach Pete and staff are on their way to reestablishing UDub to their Coach James days of influence here in CA.

What's a "soft verbal"? Did he whisper his commitment? lol

Hopefully it's "real soft" and he's opened minded. We don't need one of those situations where the kid wants one school and the parents want another.

we took a lot of DB's last cycle, I am sure there will be plenty of neg recruiting for that.

But here is to hoping we land this kid!

His sister runs track at USC as well. In regards to both of them decommitting the day it was reported him and Carr both came out and said we're still committed just want to take visits and listen to other coaches. So once that was said they were immidiately listed as soft verbals.

I told my ex-wife the same thing... apparently she didn't read any of the college recruiting manuals I had laying around(?) Obviously she was operating on a completely antiquated definition of the words commitment and looking around.

If you are authentically looking around, you are a soft verbal, if you are living the life and grabbing some free airfare, swag and attention... you're still a soft verbal. It's a stupid system using words that have other meanings. I mean, Hard Commits even take visits.

In the end, who cares. No need to make excuses for them. SC has been a dumpster fire from an administrative and staffing angle... they are smart to look around for that reason alone. If it's just for the freebies and the attention, been there done that too. I can't blame them.

Back to SC... I wish they'd right the ship and get back to being a good, dependable program. It's good for ND & it's good for college football when they have their heads on straight and not shoved up their azzes.

I'd prefer they stay a hot mess for a while longer.

Thanks for posting NDC!

Maybe you could help me out here. Or maybe someone else. Kelly's height is a given, between 5'8" and 5'9". TGraham seems to tower over him. He also seems pretty substantial, (I wouldn't quite say thick), because whatever else, Kelly is a barrel-chested Irishman. This kid looks monstrously larger than his stats, (5'10" - 180 lbs.)!

Maybe it's more trick photography, or maybe Kelly had his bunions removed, but this just looks off to me.

AND, I really hope we can flip this kid!

Per USC Scout: had good things to say about his visit and learned a lot about ND. Staying "committed" to USC until he takes OVs

“I need to see how I feel on my official visits with and without my parents there. I’ll finalize my decision after those five officials and maybe announce at an all-star game because I still plan on graduating early.”

Kelly is probably 5'8". Source, I've been five feet from him a multitude of times.

Not quite as tall as Diaco...

Funny, but that is what I thought. And I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. So even at five - eight, what does that make Graham? five - thirteen, or five fourteen?
