Crusader, played a little west of GR in Holland, MI for Hope College. Calvin does not have a football team, but I respect your knowledge of the MIAA.

Damn!!! Referencing Calvin when you played at Hope is like referencing Michigan when you played at ND.

Guilty as charged. What do you expect from a basketball player from Indiana?

I just figured DeVos would've given some of that Mary Kay $$$ for a FB program by now. But as we know, he loves his hoops.

Personally, not into the "School Up North" or "that other school" stuff. But yes, Hope vs. Calvin is no doubt a rivalry. IMO, there's no better rivalry in small school hoops than Hope vs. Calvin.

Sorry, about the MIAA talk. This is Jalen's thread, don't want any bad karma for not landing this guy. Put some weight on this kid and let him get after QB's.

Pretty much all sites saying ND impressed him and his family. They thoroughly enjoyed the visit, but most sites are unsure if he'll flip. ND has given themselves a shot, but no one really knows if it will be enough for him to leave Arizona. Apparently, his mom was very adamant about him staying in Arizona prior to his visit. They'll sit down as a family and make a decision on Monday. Not sure if that means he'll go public, or make a decision internally, and announce on signing day.

What's your point? Nothing a strength and conditioning coach who knows what he's doing can't fix...

My point is I think we're settling for less. Don't get me wrong, I think we've produced a pretty solid class here, but where are the Jaylon Smiths/Daelin Hayes of this class? Its Notre Dame. We should be getting dudes like that each year.

Kappy is listed at 225 on his recruiting profile. Which was very generous. Probably about two bills, even. Which isn't really far from what Harris is.

Kappy didn't even have a good conditioning program for most of the time he was at UND, in my opinion.

If we get half from this kid that we did from Kappy, I'm good.

(And remember, Kappy was nearly a five flat forty. I think his best was listed at 4.85.)

Riiiiight, because 5* recruits are just waiting to jump on a team that went 4-8 last year. Give me a break.

I agree that ND should be getting playmakers like Jaylon, Daelin, and Manti year after year, but we don't. At this point if Jalen wants to flip ND doesn't say no, he is a 100% take especially with the work the staff put in to get him to visit this late.

To cheer everyone up:

Regardless of how you feel about this year's class and the effect of the 4-8 record, ND currently leads for or has committed FIVE guys who will be 5 star of high 4 star players... and the best part? Not one of them is an O lineman.

Huge quotes by Harris in a BGI article on Harris. I like our chances.

According to Wiltfong, going to be tough to pull him away from Arizona. Distance seems to be the issue here, and the fact his parents were both athletes at Arizona. He also has a younger brother, who will be a recruit himself within the next year or so. It's much easier to watch the older brother play two hours away from home, and tend to the younger brother at the same time.

Make sure you site the source man

I think it will be ND or else he does the rare public announcement with sticking with his commitment to Zona. I think his mom gave him his blessing to leave. I heard she was the lynch pin and according to Gorney strongly wanted Jalen to stay home.

Dude.... cmon man. Cite your sources.

Exactly, this isn't the first time today and I've been on this board for 5+ years and first time I broke the rules with it when they were enforced I was banned in 5 seconds

I cited the source in my post which I was adding on to. There's a link right there.
