PSU got a transfer from FSU in former 5 * WR George Campbell, apparently they still plan to pursue Kumah though

II podcast reported today that Notre Dame is no longer seeking Kumah.

That's actually good news, because it's because the freshmen WR are looking more than up to the task and they don't think they'll need him.

I was just thinking about this and the latest no buzz from him made me believe we moved on and liked what we had. He's not taking Claypool spot and I don't want him taking Kevin Austin's reps.

Good call on the post, he’s got no spot on this team. We got a lot of young guys ready to make plays.

This would seem to be a good sign for Kevin Austin's future in particular, right? If he were a real transfer/trouble risk, they'd more likely want Kumah for insurance.

From the spring practice thread:

Yeah. What I'm saying is, if the staff didn't think Austin was getting that message, they'd be more likely to take Kumah, who could fill a similar role in our offense, as insurance in case he doesn't make it. Passing on Kumah would suggest their confidence in Austin - and his ability to mature enough to see the field - is growing.
Or so I'd like to think. ;)

Now I wonder if "we're just happy with what we already have at WR" was diplomacy on ND's part, and they were just underwhelmed by Kumah.
