Get it on!
B.S. available in aeronautical, mechanical, chem, boimolecular, civil, environmental, earth sciences, computer and electrical.
If I recall, Drue is in the engineering department, though I don't know which field.
I must say, last time I was at ND my curiosity took me to the Engineering building(being an engineer myself). Although the outside looked quite nice, the inside wasn't screaming state of the art. I figured that ND wasn't really an engineering school. Though, I'm sure you can get a good engineering degree there. My experience would tell me that you become a good engineer in the field, not in the classroom anyways.
I have posted this before but ND's undergrad engineering program is really good. I regularly take webinars with former grads and teachers from ND. My favorite was one on ethics. I went to the Citadel which regularly competes with GT, Clemson, Duke, NCST as the top undergrad programs in this region. I was considering ND for grad school but I found that it did not measure up to for the value versus their programs offered.
I agree to an extent about the field work. My program at the Citadel was excellent and I had several teachers that are well known in their fields and I learned a bunch of practical methods and models I use all the time that people I work with have never heard of and do things very old school. A lot of it doing what you know and what you are comfortable with.
Bio-ligamentplasticular engineering.
Minor in hurry-the-fuck-up.

I know the Citadel. Read the lords of discipline when I was in HS, hehe. I must say, I quite enjoyed the book. I'm sure the engineering faculty is exceptional at ND. It's just that the facilities didn't strike me as particularly great. I didn't see much though, so take it for what it's worth.
As far as school work vs field experience. I guess it really depends the kind of engineer you are. I'm a software engineer and yes I am a real engineer, little finger ring and everything haha. Things are usually changing very quickly and sometimes what I learned at school becomes outdated. That said, I learned strong fundamentals at school that I still use every day. So, I would agree with you on that both are important.
I got the finger ring too. Haha. Brothers for life!
After declaring for months that he was down to only Penn State and West Virginia, it now appears that Notre Dame has caught the attention of four-star linebacker Brendan Ferns.
The recruitment of Top-100 linebacker Brendan Ferns was thought to be a two-team race between Penn State and West Virginia, but a third team is starting to emerge for the four-star athlete from St. Clairsville (OH).
Ferns, the number-seven outside linebacker prospect in the country, has been in conversation with the Fighting Irish staff and an official visit could be in the making.
"Brendan has been talking with Notre Dame, and the coaching staff wants him to come on a visit," Mike Ferns, the player's father, stated. "His team is in the playoffs and their games are on Saturdays, so it's tough to get there."
"They definitely want him to take an official visit, and the tentative plan is to go there for an official on December 12," the elder Ferns added. "I think Notre Dame is trying to get a lot of recruits on campus that weekend."
With Brendan Ferns desiring to major in petroleum engineering, and that being a huge factor in him choosing a school, how does Notre Dame stack up in that department?
"They would have a major that gets real close for him, and would qualify him to get a master's degree elsewhere," Mike Ferns explained. "Plus, it's Notre Dame, and that name means a lot."
Scout will continue to track the recruitment of Brendan Ferns, and will update his status accordingly.
What do you guys believe a WILL prospect for us? Or can he slide inside and play MIKE?
tj at II says primarily a MLB prospect (MIKE)
That's waaaay to much athleticism for a BVG MLB

Think I counted 10 plays of him playing run defense in his 8+ minute long senior highlights. Nice athlete, but if I'm recruiting a kid to play linebacker, I'd like to see him play linebacker, and honestly, a lack of quality defensive highlights is concerning.
Everyone likes his athleticism and so do I, but I can not be the only one concerned here...
Talking to yourself Beau.... that is concerning....haha
Nothing personal BB, but talking to yourself can be one of the first signs of a pychotic break.

Connor's right. Maybe you should get yourself checked out.
Not completely sure I agree with this, but anything is possible.
I agree with this guy completely. Word is this Connor guy went schizophrenic a few years back...but its just a rumor
