4. Lastly, millennials have a sense of entitlement and think they are owed the attention.

How long before another school does the same thing? If it works maybe it could be our trade mark...I volunteer to drive the rig.

Look at the A&M chopper - I think it is cool and an effective way for coaches to check out local kids under Friday Night Lights. One thing to be a scout in the crowd, quite another to park your kick ass ride out front for all in attendance to see. I rolled my eyes at all the coaches pulling up in separate Mercedes or something to one recruit but damn if that doesn't get the neighborhood talking and make you look like a BFD (or FBI most wanted). When the whole town knows somebody important is in town, they all ask and the kid is forced to rehash the visit with a dozen people, which solidifies whatever message left an impression.

Hear it once and forget forever, repeat it three time and forget it never.

He didn't ask the staff to bring the truck, but who doesn't like attention? We all feel a little better about ourselves when someone says or does something nice for us. We remember that person a little better then we did before. if this makes Drob think a little better about ND, then go for it. Now get that truck headed west.

I know, EXACTLY! I am saying it has come up in his thread a couple of times before today. And some people just plain like more flash and sizzle.

I personally don't give a shit if Kelly stands on his head and spits purple nickels. All is fair in love and war.

Since my perspective has nothing to do with like it or hate it, I bet this has the hand of Mike Sanford. He seems to be a particularly empathetic coach, and good at reading people, to get the most out of them. I think this was a genius ploy with the simple intent of getting DRob to cross the goal line, (so to speak; a closing tactic, personalized, designed for maximum motivation!)

I like it because it almost seems like self-awareness about things going over the top.

I think some of you are missing the main principle of what this accomplished.

It truly shows the presence of Notre Dame on a National basis on something such as this.

Sure, waking up and having a Notre Dame semi outside is going to be "Hey that's awesome", but Notre Dame is giving an example of their brand. ESPN, SI, Yahoo, CBS, NBC, USA Today, Bleacher Report, SB Nation all had headline stories about this.

Robertson's Twitter is exploding. What school has really made there presence felt like that? Sure, it's showing him love, but it's also giving him a taste of the reach Notre Dame has.

Also, it shows Notre Dame is willing to put time and effort to do something like that for simply a chance to create a hell of a moment.

Recruiting has lost it's fun in some aspects and you don't think Robertson is stressing? Kid just got a chance to enjoy the process this morning with an 18-wheeler that says Notre Dame on the side. Be happy for the kid that he got to be a kid for 15mins today.

I like the idea of the Bama coaches flying to see him while our coaches making the effort to drive down (I assume they drove down on the bus and didn't fly down and meet it down there).

Jac Collinsworth doesn't seem to be a fan of the move.

Let's be real, Jac would just be another irrelevant student at Notre Dame, maybe still working in broadcasting, if his dad wasn't on TV. No way that he's interviewing ND football players on his weekly podcast and getting to be in all those videos if his name was Jac Smith

Do we need to create a seniors section for the old timers?

Millennials make up probably more than 3/4th of this board, ya old man.

You young punks get your feelings hurt way to easily. lol

I bet the flew down and met the truck, but I can see them all piling in with a bag of Doritos, Slim Jim's, Monster Energy drinks yelling "Road Trip!"

I agree. It's not what the semi truck is ...it is what it does.

These guys are flying all over the country meeting with as many recruits as they can. They probably haven't seen South Bend much since the dead period ended.

No way they are taking a fifteen hour bus trip from South Bend to Savannah.

So how did the bus get there? Wilfong made a tweet about how expensive that had to be to ship. I can't imagine they actually had another semi haul it down there.

Cause our coaches are the only ones licensed to drive the bus.

You really think our coaches would spend fifteen hours on a bus, during the most hectic time of recruiting, just to visit one recruit?

I don't know how the bus got there(don't even know if it's there as I haven't seen a pic of it), but there were no coaches on it while it was driving down there.
