On the bright side he will be a seasoned player next year, instead of a first year starter.

I think this will play out like K Russell in his freshman year.

Also, I asked Sampson if Elliot is now the backup to Devin and he said yes.
I think studstill is still injured.

This is clickbait, or a serious point about how good our class of '16 really is. Period.
Studstill is back and ready to go. Glad he didn't go nucking futz over the weekend!
I don't agree with that. It's a serious point that illustrates both the players feelings about how tough the position is in this scheme and our lack of depth at said position. I really like those players but this is far from an ideal situation and neither would be the starting FS against Texas without this taking place.

I'm just ready to turn the page; its kinda refreshing, to be honest. Max was always a bust and I think we truly have a future NFL starter at FS now.

I see your point!
Who are the two safeties with season ending injuries?

I think this kid will be a stud. Still, he is inexperienced so we should expect a learning curve.

Perhaps this will be a blessing in disguise if it forces Van Gorder to simplify some things and play more straight up.
