That looked horrifying. I felt so bad for the kid, though he did look like he was in good spirits on the sideline in his sling and if it was something serious you would think he would have been taken to the hospital immediately. Lets hope he is double jointed and walks away with a sprain.

The thing with a dislocation - if that's what it was - a trainer or PT can pop it back into place on the spot, put you in a sling and you'll generally feel OK. You don't need to go straight to the hospital. But you're probably not going to be playing football again next week, and you may suffer some ligament damage that'll keep you out for awhile.

Yeah I would be very surprised if he didnt miss a lot of time. I just feel for the kid and hope for the best(as we all do). We need him out there.

He was playing great. Better than Pride IMO. But Bracy has looked a lot better than last year, we're going to need him.

DB is probably the one position, outside of running back, that we cannot afford any injuries. This sucks.

I like to think that him being cursed on the football field means he is being called to bigger and better things in life. Talk about a champion. How many injuries has this guy battled through? And his season was going so well. I wish him the best.

From Eric Hansen of SBT:

#NotreDame coach Brian Kelly said DE Daelin Hayes has a labrum tear and is out for the season; CB Shaun Crawford is out 3-4 weeks with a dislocated elbow. WR Chase Claypool has a right ankle injury that should not affect him in practice.

How that elbow is gonna be ready in 3 weeks is mind boggling. I did that only nothing so gruesome during my motocross career and I was toast for a summer of racing & baseball season plus it still hurts 40 years later.

Wow, the Louisville crew was commenting about that last night, and when I saw the injury I thought for sure it was the end of his career since he previously said he had no plans for football after this season. If he's able to return in 3-4 weeks? That would be great. Hopefully he gets to come back and end his career on a high note.

This is great news! 3 weeks would bring him back in time for Michigan. How great would it be for him to come back and make plays against a team he was committed too. I know its a stretch with how gruesome it looked but he didnt look like his career was over while he was standing on the sidelines.

Man that is awesome news. Wish we had him for tomorrow night but scUM's receivers are no joke either and he will be a nice piece to have back.

Sounds like they are going to use JOK some in coverage at Nickel, probably to take on the TEs and backs out of the backfield but I can't imagine he will be a good match up against Aman-Ra St. Brown in the slot if USC was able to exploit that match up.

Wonder if we won't see Elliott slide down with Alohi and Hamilton a bunch, with perhaps Isaiah Rutherford or KJ Wallace coming in for four WR sets. Interested to see what Lea and co. do.

More than anything I really just hope he gets to finish his career healthy and ends it on a high note. It's going to be great to have him back certainly, but I really feel for him given all the injuries and the fact he's come out and said this is his last season of football. You never want to end a career on the sideline.

Can’t wait to see him back on the field. Crawford’s mental powers are champion status.

Bump. We need to start a Shaun Crawford appreciation movement in hopes he comes back next year.

I'm embarrassed about the fact that he comes from St Ed's and I didn't know or remember.

No Joke!

Am I dreaming? I thought he had said earlier that he wasn't coming back? Would definitely welcome him back.

That was before his elbow injury and his football life flashed before his eyes. I also think it's pretty clear that he would be all but guaranteed a starting cornerback position, as well as a very likely candidate for captain. How do you turn that down?

That makes no sense to me. He's saying he definitely won't be back because he's had so many injuries and wants to retire without having any further negative consequences to his long-term health... but getting his elbow bent backwards would make him reconsider that position? To me, it would only reinforce that his body isn't built for this and that he needs to get out while he can.

I will agree that it's likely he comes back, just because it's tough to say no to your teammates and coaches when the other option is "go get a desk job."

247 also predicting he'll return in their "state of the program" story today on DB's. Also picked him as having the best year among our CB's.
