Many things running through my head right now on this one...

Here is your "commitment" to winning like the SEC...????
or
Academics, conduct outside the program???
or
...out of nowhere stuff like this also makes me brace for impact...like another shoe is about to drop...like something bad.

Would like more data...not demanding...don't think I deserve more...but this one feels off.

Doesn't sound like he's transferring or left on his own. The university confirmed that all four, including Tiassum, were "dismissed," according to the SB Tribune.

https://www.ndinsider.com/football/...cle_9b437a1e-fb21-11e7-b8a8-c3af9f0ae222.html

It's not very clear. NDInsider is the one indicating they were "dismissed", but the official report states they're "no longer with the team", which honestly can mean a bunch of different things.

With Stepherson, Holmes and McIntosh, their bad conduct will well published, so it can be rightfully assumed they're being forced out for said bad conduct. With Tiassum, at least to my knowledge, I've seen nothing regarding any bad conduction or infractions in his past.

"Dismissed" and all 4 in the same article, well, its pretty natural for folks to lump him in to something nefarious...thats not cool.

Hope someone provides some clarity if he just decided to focus on a degree or whatever.

I'm honestly not trying to rip the kid or say anything bad about him because I don't know him as a person but I remember when we offered it was head scratching.

One person extremely close to the team told me once "he's terrible, worst player on the team" Not saying he got kicked off for being so bad but I don't see what he did? I can't see ND just kicking someone off the team just to do so.

Good luck in the future Brandon

Hate to see Brandon go, but he has the least impact to the team of these 4 being missed.

Brandon being gone helps this team out more than it hurts, same with Stepherson because I think it's a chance for all the young WR's we have to step up and get a chance we have a boat load of guys with potential on this team

This one does come with a lot of curiosity, but there's a reason. Time will tell.

why's that? he literally did nothing for the program.

How do we know that? Are we in the locker room? The weight room? The practice field? A lot of guys who don’t see the field are positive forces off of it. Haven’t you seen Rudy, dammit?

(Not saying Tiassum was or wasn’t a force for good. Maybe he was a lazy, negative, cancer. But from the outside we really don’t know. Why not just wish the kid well?)

Tiassum was really lazy from what I've heard. He was happy as a pig in you know what just to show up and get his scholarship, just FYI

I don't know what he did, but I also don't think he's being taken off the team for no reason.

In all of the idiotic things ND doesn't do to be a football school, they'd pay their coaches elite salaries before they kick kids off the team to make room.

Funny, I remember watching him in the (I believe) Semper Fi game where he repeatedly got pancaked by smaller o-linemen and kept thinking "This kid is a D-1 football player?".

Accepting the commitment of such a major project in the summer was one of staff's bigger head scratchers when it came to recruiting.

This is just not true anymore Koon. This was the case his first year to year in a half. But he turned it around.

I remember Isaac Rochelle at the beginning of the 2016 season was asked who on defense had improved the most? Or something similiar. Isaac responded infactacly that it was Brandon. Something like: Brandon was known for being lazy, but worked his butt off in the off season in the weight room and on the field all fall camp.

I also recall an article at the beginning of the 2017 season that discuss in length all the changes to the program, specifically the weight training. I recall the Brandon was near the top of the board in points. I'll try to find that article.

Koon you keep on kooning.

What kind of points scale though?

-Like a really fat person lost more weight than someone who isnt fat so is declared a leader now scale?

-Like a weak person exponentially increases reps/weight but is still light years behind their cohorts scale?

Domina. You are kooning also?

Haha, I am just wondering if people think that is a legitimate reason to kick a kid off the team in some cases.

I’m not saying I do, or that BT would have qualified for that treatment.

Alabama definitely does this.

I don't understand the posts about kicking someone off to make room when this is a program that always has room without having to kick someone off for underperforming.

That's not what I've heard. But it doesn't really matter. It's a moot point because he wouldn't have been kicked off for just being lazy, unless he's not showing up for things.

There is more to it here, not sure what it is. But this is a good thing for ND's football team, he wasn't going to play.
