Our HS football coach listed every single one of us at 6'/175. haha

Haha, my HS basketball coach did something like this, but he would list everyone 5 inches shorter than they were so you couldn't really tell it was BS on tape unless you knew the other team well. Can't tell you how many times we came out for warmups and saw the other team's jaw drop. We were one of the tallest teams in the league, and everyone was expecting a team with a 6'3" center.

Love the attitude and optimism. Love that he's looking forward to the academic "challenge" ND can bring.

Kid gets it. When he talked about the negative recruiting over academics, he said "that's just putting me down and saying I couldn't do it". Damn I wish more players looked at it that way.

Thanks for posting. Articulate, enthusiastic, confident, all of the above. Nice interview, Loy allowed Micah to run with the ball.

Rochelle? He's fat?

285 is fat? He's only put on 15lbs at ND.

If Dew-Treadway is 6-4, 270 in that vid then it's going to be a challenge to keep him under 300 as he matures. Physically he resembles Stephon Tuitt as a HS senior.

Needs to gain strength but he's got the frame and athleticism to be a big time player if he develops IMO

He reminds me of the body type that Sparty signs, and 3-3 yrs down the road developes into a monster.

In TV today they did a breakdown of current commits where they split them into 3 categories. Immediate impact, occasional presence, and likely to RS. They put Micah on the immediate impact list. Apparently sources close to the staff say that they believe he's a difference maker in this class.

Interesting considering his offer list isn't indicative of that kind of talent (caveat being that I have no idea how to evaluate talent, so basing that statement solely on offer list).

Offer list is but one of many ways to dissect potential and overall ability. I don't know if he's a instant impact, because I honestly don't know where he'll play. He looks like he'll grow into DT before he arrives. If that's the case, his upside is massive. I see him more of a 3-tech than DE in our 4-3. ND has proven time and time again that they're just better than pretty much any team when it comes to evaluating talent. A ton of teams down south have the "resources" to pull multiple 5-stars on a regular basis. ND does that better because they can pull 3 and 4-stars with real upside and coach them up. Are they always on point? Of course not. Nobody is, but they come pretty damn close. This 2014 class is probably the epitome of this coaching staff's recruiting and development ability.

Miss St and Kentucky are pretty good offers but definitely doesn't have the depth of quality offers.

Personally I'm really on board with the talented 4 and 3 star player strategy. I'm generally tired of five star flame outs and prima donnas taking up too much recruiting time (not that I would complain if we unexpectedly picked up a few).

Ehhhh really though? I mean blue bloods, not teams that are usually bargain basement dwellers (this year notwithstanding).
