I think another QB wins the Heisman this year (shocker I know). I'm going with Mariota or McCarron, just a hunch.
You were blasting the OP and then come out with your own list that had Bridgewater 4th?
How much of Bridgewater did you watch last year?
I didn't blast him, I just was laughing about Max Wittex. How high are you putting Bridgewater? I almost put Boyd ahead of Bridgewater.
I think we will see Manziel take a dramatic step back this year with his best two lineman going into the draft. Both high in the draft, I may add.
Regardless of how good or bad Wittek is (I happen to think that he is very talented), he will be running for his life all season.
I think Brdgewater is the best QB in cfb, and its not close. Manziel might have had a great season, but Bridgewater didn't have two first round tackles blocking for him. Manziel is a scrambling gunslinger, while Bridgwater is a polished QB that is NFL ready right now.
No Derek Carr on your list?

Who you taking off my list?
I understand why people would put Manziel first after the season he had, but I believe that at least a portion of that success can be attributed to a Sumlin offense, the best oline in football and catching defenses off guard. If we are making the list on how much they mean to their team, overall skill level, How NFL ready they are and how technically sound their game is, then I put Bridgewater firmly on the top of the heap.
Second would be a distant second at that.
For Carr? Definitely J.W. Walsh first.

Wooly, your dismissive attitude towards Manziel is well documented, but c'mon man! He was an absolute NIGHTMARE for opposing defenses last year, and did things nobody else (or a very small few) could do in the same situation. He is incredible IMO.
You're acting like I said he wasn't good. I did nothing of the sort. But are you saying that he didn't benefit from the best oline in CFB?
Manziel did that with not the best line in college football. He did all that without his starting RB, very average receiving core and a offense he was in for a year. You can say it was Sumlins system but Sumlin isn't out there making the throw's or running around. He made Nick Saban look like a fool still.
Who had a better oline? One of his tackles will be the #1 pick in the draft and the other had a first round grade. I cannot think of another team in all of cfb that had two first round talent tackles on it. You can say Sumlins offense has nothing to do with it, but why do 3star recruits consistently put up ridiculous numbers in it?
Listen I didn't say Sumlin had nothing to do with it. But Alabama O line is more talented without a doubt. Barrett Jones won 3 different awards at 3 different positions. Chance Warmack will be a top 15 pick, Fluker will be a first round pick, Cyrus Kouandjio will be a first round pick. A&M has a great offensive line without a doubt but Bama was much better. A&M you could say had the best bookends but overall O line was Bama. Now Wooly I know your a not a huge Manziel fan but Bridgewater is a stud no doubt. But remember he plays in the Big East while Manizel plays in the best conference.

Do I really need to break down AtM's schedule again? He may have played in the SEC, but its not like his schedule was murderers row. I wasn't talking about the potential of Bamas line vs AtM, I'm talking about what we saw this last year. This year, AtM had the two best tackles in the game. Mix a Sumlin offense and bookend tackles that give a punky QB time to scramble and viola'... You get an insane season by Manziel.
Furthermore, which one takes the top for oline is semantics. Can we agree that Manziel was playing with the best tackle on one of the best lines in football? If so, then what are we arguing about?
Considering he was a freshman, Wittek did more to keep the Trojans in the game than Kiffin did imo. Kiffin's blew that game, we probably could have lost that one if Petey was still coaching. Stealing wins in Southern Cal the last two away games has been in part to great running by Robert Hughes and Theo. I don't think the kid would be on my list of Top 20 QBs yet, maybe at #20, but I think he'll be tough coming into South Bend this year. Theres also the fact we haven't beaten the Trojans at home since the turn of the century, just hope we play better at home this year.
Yes, I will agree with you on that but I was not arguing but discussing with you that Alabama had the best O line in college football.
Weird... I thought we were talking about Manziel?
We are/were, weren't we also talking about O lines?
If you think Bama's was better, then ok, you agreed that it didn't change my point about Manziel. So what is your point exactly?
Did you watch him play Georgia Tech?
What on earth has Hogan shown to put him anywhere on a list of top QBs?
About Manziel? He won the Heisman for a reason. He had a extremely shaky WR/RB core. Yes Sumlin was calling the plays and he had great book end tackles. Now you can also say Bridgewater played in the Big East but Manziel played in the nations best conference against the best defenses. No team/ no player was playing better to end the year than Manziel and IMO will carry that momentum into next season. Its Oranges and apples both are studs and would take them on ND any day.
Again, the schedule Manziel played is no where near as good as you make it out to be. He played three good defenses (Florida, LSU and Bama) all year, Bridgewater played Florida too. But Bridgewater looked great and beat Florida. Manziel had his worst game of the season against the Gators. He played lights out against Bama, but his worst two games of the season were against Florida and LSU. Outside of Bama, he made his bones killing teams like South Carolina State, SMU and Sam Houston State. He almost lost to Louisiana Tech...
While you want to give credit to Manziel for playing on a great team, you want to take away talent from Bridgewater for being that good on a much less talented team and I frankly don't get it.
