Plenty of film where he played awesome against good competition. Just needs a chance, and he'll make a team.

How in the hell did this dude not get drafted?!

At this point, it doesn't matter. He'll get his chance and he can certainly earn a position on the Raiders roster. Coney was phenomenal for us, I hope nothing but the best for him.

Only bright side with getting signed to the raiders is they will be moving to Vegas next season

Coney will be on a practice squad if he doesn't make the Raiders team out of camp.. He just needs to a chance to show that its not about measureables.. Sometimes a kid is just great at playing linebacker

Unfortunately the NFL is all about measurables. Kids with measurables get drafted over kids with proven results all the time. IMO Love slipped because of his measurables.

I think Coney is gonna end up making the team... Paul Guenther and John Gruden will see quickly that Coney is a thumper capable of filling in for the unreliable Vontez Burfict.

Burfict is good for at least 6 missed games per season, between suspensions and injuries. Coney can fill his roll.

And then he's going to become a staple. Let him be the MLB and fill in hyper-athletic OLBs around him and they will keep everything in front of them.

Coney didn't test well but he is a footballer. I'll be rooting for him hard to make the roster and then to earn his spot. I enjoyed his time at ND.

Although he improved on his pass defense last season, he is still considered a 2-down LB. That doesn’t mean he can continue to improve or find his role as a run stopping ILB.

Coney made the 53 man roster for the Raiders, who cut LBs Brandon Marshall and Jason Cabinda.

I wonder how many of our fans feel really good about the program knowing that we have the most intelligent and successful whole-developed humans graduating from it. I do ... greatly. But I think I might be rare in this attitude.

Bless you Te'von --- good warrior and good man.

Coney will also be back on campus and will talk with the team about his success in the business world.

Along with Tuck, these are the type of guys I hope Freeman is regularly getting around recruits. It won't sell all of them, but having first-hand experience talking about the 4 for 40 pitch will never hurt.

Was just watching a YouTube short about the top 5 ND linebackers since 2000 and Coney wasn't even in the comment conversations. While he didn't have NFL success Coney was a monster in the middle.

He is in my top 5 list of most underrated ND players in recent memory.

Idk about top 5. They’ve had some really good ones. He wasn’t even the best LB on the team.

He’s maybe my favorite ND player. Absolute stud who showed up in a ton of big games. He made the Elmo and early Lea defenses work. He wasn’t as good in coverage as Tranquill but if it wasn’t for his run stopping ability I truly believe our defense would’ve struggled in 2018. Bonner was competent but probably that defense’s weak link, Tillery was very inconsistent. Kareem was good in run defense but his counterparts often were not at that point.

Would he start on this team? Maybe, very possible that he wouldn’t. He’d be in the rotation though, no doubt

I’m still amazed at how effective of a DC Elmo was……..
