Defensive coordinator Clark Lea won’t need to develop the next Te’von Coney just yet. That’s because the original breakout linebacker will be back for the Irish next year.

On the final day underclassmen could declare for the NFL Draft, the junior linebacker stayed out of that pool, giving his Notre Dame career a fourth and final season. Now Coney can build on a year that took him from rotational player to arguably Notre Dame’s top linebacker.

On paper this D should be really good. Crazy to think that we’ll be returning a CB, LB, and DT that will have been more productive in the previous season than most of our opponents.

I think the plan is to have JOK play Rover which I like Bonner leaving isn't a loss really I think you'll get better play out of the Kid from Hawaii and the freshman. The safeties and corners should be deep let's hope we can higher a safety cosch to get them playing well
