I've been to Tuscaloosa before. They have hot chicks, but nowhere near the level of those schools you listed, especially ASU, UCLA and U$C. Not to mention, warm weather isn't always a good thing. Sure, Tuscaloosa stays relatively average during the winter (around 40-50), but the summers are brutal (90-100) and humid. Not to mention, Tuscaloosa is in the middle of nowhere. I'd rather be in South Bend, only a few hours away from a major city than be in Tuscaloosa, AL, where the state has no major cities.

Atlanta, Nashville, the Gulf Coast and New Orleans are within reasonable excursion limits. Plus Alabama football is winning right now. So that alone is very attractive. I don't like us having to compete with Bama for recruits. That is a no win situation for ND.

Yeah they are but paying players to attend a University is far worse than them taking it from boosters or agents.

People can't just throw out wild accusations without evidence or a source backing it up. If you are really going to come on this board and claim that Bama doesn't pay players I'm going to need to see some proof.

Likewise, where is the proof there are paying their players? It would be disingenuous to accuse someone without any knowledge other than hearsay and reputation.

What does that prove other than Saban likes to carry huge bags of cash around during games.

I can say, if the story I was told wasn't a fabrication, that there was a player ND signed in a recent recruiting class that was offered money on his trip to Bama. This is a story via a premium site mod who was told by the player. The money was offered by a coach, too.

This shouldn't surprise anyone who has read: Meet the Bag Man: How to buy college football players, in the words of a man who delivers the money - SBNation.com

Atlanta is nowhere near as big as Chicago, and is a bit farther. Nashville is even smaller and even farther way. Nola is an ideal spot for college kids, but it's farther than you'd expect. It's mainly the winning and Saban thing that attracts them. The location isn't all that. If I were going to pick a southern school based on location, it sure as hell wouldn't be Alabama. Auburn has a nicer community around it, and it's closer to Atlanta and Montgomery than Tuscaloosa.

That's why I have a lot of respect for him even though most ND fans think he's soft.

Koon takes the cash and leaves a turd in the hat.

I hadn't seen this before...very disturbing. I guess i can see why recruits bail on a school (Michigan) when a coach is in trouble...the bagmen shut off funds. Too bad the recruits won't take vBucks.

Cmon dude my point was that ther is plenty of stuff around Tuscaloosa to do. The size of the city has little to with it. Atlanta is fun as hell. Nashville is fantastic. Plus not sure if it matters to you but having fun and partying , like next level fun, doesn't have to occur in a big city

The great part is that it can happen anywhere.

Maybe Alabama is not confident with Fitzpatrick and that is why they have offered Marshall, just in case.

Tuscaloosa is a not a nice place. Central campus is nice, and there is a fun bar area, but I agree that Tuscaloosa is in no way pulling anyone to Alabama.

Loy is reporting that his source is telling him that while it's not 100% certain, they're pretty confident Max Redfield is his host.

I find that to be an interesting match.

Well there goes Biggie's under the table stack... they'll have to use it on Redfield for hush money.

That's not really the point. The size is important, but Chicago has A LOT more to do than Atlanta or Nashville. Nola...okay you got me, it's actually quite enjoyable. But I'd rather drive an hour and change to Chicago than 4 hours and change to Nola. Tuscaloosa in general, is not all lively. Essentially all of the appeal is the school. It's a nice campus, but nothing compared to ND, and outside of campus is...meh.

Great parties can happen everywhere. I agree, but that doesn't really help Alabama's argument, since ND can say the same thing.
