Cleveland makes a statement if they take Rosen and then Q. Plus Q getting to learn from one of the all time greats joe Thomas makes more sense than rolling the dice again

That's too smart for Cleveland. I'd expect them to trade the number 1 pick and moved back and receive a 2nd round pick. Then they'll get a DT, RB, WR

If the Browns never draft another ND player, it'll be too soon. Cleveland is where NFL dreams go to die.

Quenton Nelson, G, Notre Dame
Height: 6-5. Weight: 325.
Projected 40 Time: 5.15.
Projected Round (2018): Top-25.
Quenton Nelson is an elite guard prospect who has a great chance to be a top-10 pick. Drawing comparisons to Logan Mankins, Nelson is the best offensive lineman in the 2018 NFL Draft class. Because he has such high marks, his decision to declare was a no-brainer. Nelson would only risk damaging his draft stock by returning to school.

Grade for declaring: A+

Nice. I was about to comment on the previous post about the fact that he also tea-bagged him, but this post pointed that out.

Awesome!

The play where he slides out to pick up the Georgia safety (2:14) and just demolishes him may be the best play I've seen from an O-lineman, this year.

He pulls with perfect drop step, gets to the hole, and then stalks like a goddamn predator waiting for his prey.

Then, one unfortunate soul is brave enough to meet the challenge. Poor LSU guy.

The only concern I see people bring up with Q is a doubt that he can pull at a good enough level to warrant a top 10 pick. I'm not great at evaluating O line play, what say you?

Sitton only has 1 more year on contract and could be traded (teams were offering a 4th round pick for him last year apparently). Q isn't out of the question at 8.

I know, they just need so much more. I can't believe all the talk about CB Josh Jackson from Iowa at 8. They need some WR's. I couldn't pass on Calvin Ridley. If Calvin Ridley was named Joe Schmoh from anywhere but Bama, I'd take the Courtland _____ from SMU.

Passing on Bama's next potential Julio Jones / Amari Cooper would be a dangerous gamble for someone picking the first WR.

Yeah, but he's kinda slight. There's an age-adjusted stat that I've seen do some pretty decent predicting for receivers. It hasn't been released for this year's group yet, but I'm curious to see how Ridley compares, seeing as he was already very old as a college freshman

Would it be unethical for the scientists at ND to clone Quenton Nelson? Imagine 5 Qs on the OL.

So on to the important stuff...

Is Q a G-Man or a J-E-T-S, Jet, Jet, Jet?

Giants should pick him without hesitation.

Right or wrong, teams just can't rationalize taking a G that high. That's why I hope the Colts trade down a few spots, pick up Q and a couple additional picks.

I mean the Colts need help on defense but if Luck is healthy and being able to instantly make the OL better would be huge.
