Thank you very much for the well wishes, but that pic is nearly 4 years old. It was taken less than 48 hours before our daughter was born, as my wife & I were leaving for our last night out for the next several months. I grew tired of not having an avatar and just like that pic.
[Having so many #1 recruiting classes would seem to make everything easy, but it sure doesn't work out that way all the time. We're struggling to fill holes and find the right guys just like everyone else. The talent and depth from all those classes helps, but it only takes a few key injuries or suspensions and you're in a jam. I'm afraid we're going to struggle this upcoming season.
Well, here's a 4 year late congrats!! Haha! Huge difference going somewhere with a lil one versus when it was just you and the Missus.
Another potential problem with those awesome classes Saban has gotten is, having that one class that looks like future NFL HOF's on paper, but turn out to be dud's. That has really messed some good programs up...and cost the HC his job. (MS State basketball comes to mind. Rick Stansbury had a pretty good thing going and he got the #1 recruit, I forgot his name, but that guy was a lazy, troublemaking, self centered punk. Well, that's what all my State buddies say about the guy. State started the year off with him fighting a team mate on ESPN in the stands at a pre season tourney. Then, he was so out of shape, he would stop at half court when on d, hahaha! Stansbury was gone & State went downhill quickly).
While this very well could happen at ND, I think it's a little less likely because they are pretty selective
(you know, RKG's and stuff)
