I don't give an ant's d!ck about what recruitniks think about this kid. He is a big time playmaker.

Unfortunately, I don't think that his will end up at Notre Dame. But that is our loss. We will wonder why we didn't jump all over this kid when he is a day one NFL draft pick.

Call me crazy if you will, but this kid plays on an elite level at the highest stage of high school football in the country. Whoever grabs this kid is getting the steal of the class.

He would be a five star if he wasn't white... there... I said it...

Wooly that had to be one of the most ridiculous things i have ever heard. Now this is my first time hearing about Colin. Watched his film three times. I did like it. Nothing jumps out at me. First off you have college head coaches who have probaly spent over thousands and thousands of hours watching recruiting tapes. Than you have recruiting analysis guys like Mike Farrell who have spent over 10 thousand hours watching film and don't rate this guy. I am all good a great story and rooting for the kid. But if there our college coaches and other people who are rating him than your putting him at 5 star status? Than to say he plays against the best high school football in his country. If you break the film down a little closer. I have watched way to much film and I see at 3 things that jump out at me. I won't rip a kid because i am rooting for him and hope he turns heads at the opening. But for you to sit here and say hes going to the NFL and should be a 5 star but isn't because hes white is honestly blowing my mind. You said this the other day and it really does bother me that you think recruiting guys don't rate guys as high because of there race. Come on man? Just ridiculous. Good luck Colin turn some heads at the opening.

I'm not going to touch the race part, but one thing I think is odd is how the tweet Grahambo posted says he needs to work at slot receiver. Watching his tape, I can definitely see him being a threat there, but he also seemed to more than hold his own in coverage, and with his freakish athletic ability, I don't see why he would need to make a position change.

Then again this could be a case where coaches think he's hit the ceiling already. I'm hoping for big things from him at the Opening.

First of all, if you are going to make me read a long rant detailing how stupid I am, make it legible. Use some damn punctuation so I can follow what you're saying.

Second of all, I was **** drunk when I wrote that. I may have went a little overboard, but my point still stands. You act like recruits don't get past the recruitnik's evaluation every single year. If they didn't, then why are there so many former 3-star kids playing on Sunday? The evaluations that Spencer have gotten are excellent. His 141.12 SPARQ rating is evidence of his skills, and that's why your precious recruiting nerds are finally taking notice.

I know that you feel that the recruiting guys know all and you somehow know more than the rest of us about evaluation, but I have a right to my opinion too. We all have a right to our opinion. So next time you want disagree with me, try some freakin' tact. Because your poorly written blast is the type of stuff that makes people want to go after you.

Finally, if I am such an idiot, I will make you wager. By Colin's sophomore year, I believe he will be starting for a D1 team. If he's not, I will change my avatar to a horse's @ss. If he is, then you use a picture of Miley Cyrus as your avatar.

I have to say that I agree with Wooly on this one. His tape is fantastic. He scores incredibly high on on of the few things that all "recruiting experts" believe is a relevant and legitimate test of a recruit's skills (Sparq). While I wouldn't go as far as to say that he would be a five star if he wasn't white or that he will be a day one draft pick, but he has serious skills and plays at an extremely high level of competition and should be rated quite a bit higher than he is imo. And maybe it is petty of me to look at race as being an issue here, but it is the only clear thing seperating him from the majority of 4 and 5 star cornerbacks or athletes. Hopefully he can turn some heads at the opening and get the respect that i think he deserves.

Remember when Cam McDaniel was underrated and should have been a 5 star running back because he dominated in high school against top competition, had a fast shuttle time, great tape, but didn't even get a fourth star because he was white? Yep, he's not a 5 star RB anymore. Not even a RB at all. If he was so underrated and such a dominant runner, he'd still be in the backfield.

Wooly never once in my rant did I call you an idiot or insult your intelligentence. My second thing was I was at the bar when i wrote that rant, so sorry If i didn't put any commas in there. I am not saying kids don't get past the system. Never once did I say I am not rooting for the kid. Also in my "rant" I never said I didn't like the film? I just found some things stood out to me. Kid can put up all the spark stats and stats he wants. I remember last year on how you felt about Maty Mauk and all he did was put up stats. Don't attack me I did nothing wrong and I broke it down for you. If you want to make a stupid bet please by all means I am down, I dig Miley Cyrus.

One thing I did notice in the film was no press at the los. Quite the cushion they were giving even though on those plays worked well. Other than that kid plays the ball well in the air and get this turns his head to find the ball, go figure.

No Press coverage, not fluid hips so I wont sit here and rip the kid because he was a hell of a lot more ability than I have. Now I agree if he gets put in the slot I would love to see what he can do in the open field. Hope he turns heads and proves a lot of people wrong, like me.

"Fluid hips," and "flip ones hips;" are these interchangable expressions?

I have always been under that impression. "fluid hips" help a player change directions cleanly and quickly. It explains the difference between a fast straight line guy, and one that can flip his hips and change direction quickly. It's a skill that's very important to CB's.

But somehow Colin turned in a sick shuttle without it... funny how that works...

Come on Wooly. As you and I know, most people are full of . . . less than accurate informantion. And the more expurt one becumes, the worse that effect is . . .

That is why I only listen to a few of you on this site, my mentor who happens to be a 55 ND grad, and the Turtle Man.
