May be even more trouble for Ohio State, looks like players were getting benefits on car deals.

Whenever you get a vehicle or anything else as an athlete at Notre Dame you have to turn all of the paperwork over to the compliance office for review immediately to ensure the ducks are in a row. Car title showing purchase price of $0???? Give me a freaking break Ohio State...

That's the case at every college - well, it's SUPPOSED to be. The crazy thing is, Ohio St, before USC beefed up its compliance dept, had the biggest compliance dept in the entire country. And there's sh!t coming out about how crooked they are every week - seemingly every other day!

USC got busted for this very thing with the Reggie Bush fiasco. And he was just ONE guy. Imagine fifty cars? With Bush, he just didn't even fill in the part about where he got the $ for the car, and the ONE compliance officer USC had at the time either missed it or didn't say anything. This was a huge point in USC's sanctions. And now Ohio State looks like it could have a much larger scandal.

And I hope someone does an expose on Auburn or another SEC school. Let all the egregious cheaters burn...

Anyway, my buddy is a huge OSU fan. I mean big enough that when we were talking about the BS they pulled he got tears in his eyes. He made me stop ripping him after I said sweater vst would be fired. I LOVE IT

I know it's fun to gloat over all the troubles that keep cropping up at OSU (why not?), but the shadowy relationship between auto dealers and student athletes is nothing new.

As far back as the early '70's I remember reading articles about athletes (especially football players) getting the free use of dealer vehicles while they attended a particular school. As you might've guessed, the dealers are almost always prominent alumni and big-time contributors to the school in question.

I understand the questionable legality of the car sales reflected in the article, and I'm certainly not a proponent of providing "graft" to student athletes; I've just seen this movie too many times to get excited (or upset) I guess.

Just my take, not knocking on threaders or posters here!
