I'm not getting my hopes up that this will happen and it's really not the Packers' MO.
I also have some reservations.
1. his cap hit would be above $5MM and that would strap us the rest of this year should anything else happen and we need to sign someone.
2. He could easily be a 3 month rental as his rookie contract expires this year. , so have to be very careful how much capital we give up for him. Pack still have David Bakhtiari, Aaron Jones and Kevin King (unlikely) to consider with expiring contracts. How would they prioritize Fuller with these others?
3. Injury history. He has been balling out and healthy this year but obviously has an extensive injury history and has yet to play a full season. So do we gamble giving up capital for a guy who could be sidelined at any minute?
THat's why I'm not getting my hopes up, the Pack have a lot of things to consider before pulling the trigger here and I could see another interested team easily topping whatever we'd be willing to offer.
