Would they have him walk off on own power if there was suspicion it may be torn? Hope not...praying for best!

Doesn't look good. Players are going to be moved to back the freshman up. ND has too many wr's to not have enough running backs

We won't know anything until after the game right?

Sucks that this is such a down year at RB. I really think we might need to make a run at a second player.

Move Carlisle back to RB... Hunter and Sanders at the slot.

I don't think you can do that. Kelly had Carlisle focus on slot and purposely did not cross train him. I think you have to roll with Prosise, the two freshman and not redshirt Brent. That is of course if Folston injury is serious.

I'm more concerned about protecting Zaire with an mature guy. We were thin at RB and now thinner. I don't want to be thin at QB due to missed protection.

Thank you Greg Bryant

This. What a bonehead!

So glad we got Adams and Williams though, and Procise stepped up big time tonight! I'm not worried about RB right now. I think Carlisle could slide back in and pick up some carries if needs be, the Slot position will certainly be fine (Even though I like Carlisle and Hunter in that position). Adams looked young, but he does a great job finding the hole and turning it up field quickly, he looks like a good back. Didn't get to see enough of Williams, and it was in garbage time, but we know he's talented...probably just needs more time in the system. Lastly, Folston's injury didn't look terribly bad. Obviously no one knows the extent of the injury yet, but he walked off on his own power.

If I had to guess it's an MCL sprain at most (Unless he's as much of a freak as Drew and his ACL). He could be back by Clemson, we could survive till then.

I tore my ACL playing basketball and was able to walk right after. I think he's done for the year, hope I'm wrong.

Night ruiner... Sigh... Prayers to our boy, TF, if you read this board, keep that head up, get well... You WILL come back strong. Remember,... Character is determined through adversity.

He's done for the year via Josh Norris on Twitter

Norris had a tweet 3 hours ago that Folston would miss the rest of the game. Do you have an update you can cite?

From 3 Hours Ago
Notre Dame junior RB Tarean Folston will miss the remainder of the game against Texas with a knee injury.
It is terrible news, as Folston is the school's top running back at a position with little depth. Greg Bryant is not eligible for the Irish this season, so C.J. Prosise is running as the lead ball carrier. Folston was able to slowly walk to the locker room following Notre Dame's second series. He made up 43 percent of the school's rushing total in 2014
