I'm not a frequent poster. But when I have posted, I'm always of the belief that these are just college kids. We have the little Admiral and Steve Elmer who choose to take the ND education/life experience as a priority over football. I've said we can't fault them for that, we promote the 40 year decision.
Then there is Max. Last year when he was more focused on Chinese than football, I said "Let's cut him some slack, he's making the 40 year decision. Education can be a primary focus. Football at ND can be secondary." It turns out he must have been more focused on getting stoned (hindsight). And then he was sent home from the bowl game, I said, "College kids make mistakes. He will learn and grow."
My bad. Sh**. It seems the kid is just floating through life making bad decisions and with no commitment. I hope that he can stay at ND and finish his education. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity.
A wise man once told me that when someone shows you who he really is, believe him. Well, I believe Max now - what a waste of opportunity.
I think he is by far the biggest hands down 5 star bust at ND.
