"I am an elite prospect and as good as anyone else," LaRue said. "I was still a little surprised to get invited to go to that camp, but now that I am going I have to be focused. That is the approach I think you have to take.
"It is an honor that I have that kind of respect to be invited, but they want to see me play."
The inaugural event will be split into camp instruction with one-on-one drills and a 7-on-7 tournament with four teams determined by the region of the country.
LaRue is excited to be a part of the invitation-only

little over a minute into one of the many Sebastian Larue highlight reels it becomes crystal clear the young man’s going to generate some controversy at the next level. Larue, a Rivals ’13 4-star and #141 overall prospect, is a gifted 5’11 Wide Receiver. After looking thru multiple highlight compilations I’ve yet to find an example of Larue getting caught from behind by a defender, and he’s left many the would-be tackler grasping at air after a quick cutback move.
...
The controversy? There’s not a D1 Defensive Coordinator in the country who won’t fight tooth and nail to pry Larue from the clutches of his Offensive counterpart.
...
Said Larue: "From what scouts tell me, I'm a very explosive player and I feel like I'm very electric once I get the ball in my hands. Pretty much I can score from anywhere on the field. I'm kind of like DeSean Jackson a little, as far as in the return game and being a threat to score from pretty much anywhere I'm lined up."
That comparison is probably exciting to all the coaches giving chase, but particularly to his primary Michigan recruiter, Dan Ferrigno. The second-year Wolverine assistant was Jackson's position coach at California during the All American's final two years as a Golden Bear. While that distinction is certainly a feather in Michigan's cap, an even bigger one is Larue's prior familiarity with the Maize and Blue.
"I have family that's from Flint and they come out here to visit, and they tell me about Michigan and everything," Larue explained. "They've been to games before and so I know a little bit about the history. I know about their tradition, and that's one thing I really like. It shows a school has history, and it's a history of winning — a history of producing great talent such as Charles Woodson, Braylon Edwards and Denard Robinson. I like how their new coach is kind of bringing back the old tradition of the numbers and everything with No. 1, and he's bringing the tradition with No. 2 and No. 21. I like those things about a program, how you can earn those type things."

Could be a dominant db and wr we need to offer what is the story with his grades?

Dear IrishSpartan, I see you were a former Lacrosse player at MSU. Meet IrishLax.
Don't know about LaRue's grades, but I have no clue what else could be keeping him from an offer. He reminds me of Davonte.
Welcome sir!

Agreed, though maybe not on the same level, Neal was a 5-star talent, LaRue doesnt scream 5 star status, but a solid 4 star is still fine with me.
Wish we offer him so he could commit meaning we can all chant SEABASS!!! On gameday sigh
Sapp says that Academics are the reason we haven't offered.
