I know that we are talking theoretically but I agree that it would be entertaining and I kind of hope it happens but I really don't see it. I think EG would see that the Air Raid offence (has he changed the name since he went to Wash St?) doesn't put QBs in the NFL. Also, would he be able to get along with Leach? I know that Leach has a bad rap now but how does he interact with his QBs? It seemed like Harrell and other QBs liked him but I've never actually paid attention to his interaction with them during the game.

Didn't Duke graduate their starting QB this year? I always thought he would consider them if they wanted him, especially with Cutcliffe there.

be crazy if he did end up there, not sure the offense would suit him and he is capable of playing within its confines but its probably his best chance at winning a championship right now

I'd have to laugh if Golson ends up winning it with Bama. The truest story of, "if you can't beat em, join em".

It might be the ultimate insult if Kiffy can get the maximum out of him when Kelly couldn't, considering how much respect we all have for the Kiffinator.

Or we may see another coach turning purple yelling at Golson, except the media will say, "He's just a good, hard-nosed coach that wants the best for the kid".

It was obviously the best fit for Golson based on his circumstances. Jimbo is the only CFB HC who can credibly claim to place QBs in the NFL with any regularity (though it's still arguable), and he won't be asked to do much running in FSU's scheme. I wish him the best.

Winston (I didn't watch enough of predecessors to know) made his living in the middle of the field - which is an area which hurt Everett and is exactly the deficiency used against short QBs. From a purely NFL perspective I think it's a good place for him to spend a year.
