All the ND talking heads assume BYU offense will be Bear running & then some mixed in passing. That leads me to go the other way when the talking heads are so adamant & in agreement. I think BYU schemes up a pass first opening drive and scores. They continue that tact until ND adjusts and neutralizes.

I think the BYU staff know their only real chance to win the game is through the air. They're just flat out not running the ball consistently enough to win the game. And despite what their mentally challenged media and podcast corps want, they're not running Bear 25 times this game. They still have to play the Holy War, they're not running Bear into the dirt.

I think they’re gonna run Bear a ton. I think you’re gonna see a lot of hero ball.

Bear might decide to run on his own, but I do not believe the BYU staff will purposely run him a lot. If so, well I would say that is borderline criminal negligence. Leonard could barely walk after that first drive in the NCG and the team backed off of running him as much and he wasn't himself for the next quarter or two. I get Bear is a big guy, but we have some big boys on the other side of the ball that will be looking to make him feel it.

From what I’ve heard on Notre Dame podcasts, Bear is not a drop back and throw it all over the field QB. He’s a one read, RPO/PA QB. And he struggles against man coverage. I think they need to run him.

I think BYU pulls out all the stops. They'll run Bear as much as they need to, this win would be big for their season and optics. I don't think it'll be enough, they don't have the horses or the coaching.

Just a hypothetical, say we lose tomorrow but beat Miami, are we still in the playoffs? Likewise say we win tomorrow but lose to Miami, same question?
If we lose the trash talk will be deserved and everywhere.
