I watched Penix, McCarthy, and Bo Nix all get taken in the top 15 in the last "big QB draft class," CJ will be off the board in the top 5 or 6 picks.
So you’re saying we have no chance of return! Thanks a lot! Dante came back! Carr can top Tommy Rees greatness!

Yup - most nfl focused fans are watching highlights and can’t appreciate CJ’s control of the game. Scouts certainly will.

And, quarterbacks are always overvalued (I don't mean that as a knock or a comment on CJ and his ability to make the leap to the next level at all), teams will reach on QBs way more than any other position. I'm a Vikings fan, ask me how I know.

Jeremiah is the best player I'm not going to argue that. But if we continue to win then our PR department better do everything they can to get him that trophy

Dude is like Leonard Bernstein conducting the New York Philharmonic.

I would be surprised if he wins the Heisman. He’s not putting up crazy stats like some and that’s what everyone focuses on.

I don’t really care about arm strength and I think it’s a pretty overrated stat. Unless you have a noodle of an arm, it doesn’t really matter. If you can make all the throws necessary to operate an offense at peak level, your arm is just fine.

What Carr is ELITE ELITE at is his processing power and understanding what he’s seeing from the defense. That’s why I’m bullish on him as a pro prospect. Watch CJ Carr process pre snap and as the play is progressing, then go watch Arch Manning do the same thing. I can’t wait to compare their wonderlic scores.

I don't know why he isn't higher in the mock drafts. He should be the no 1 pick.
He will be. If that is something they have gambling lines on I'd put real money on it. He is the most pro ready quarterback of this decade and is an instant floor and ceiling raiser. The qb play is so bad in the NFL right now that he cannot drop.

Carr can absolutely win the Heisman. Smith is the favorite and Russell and Carr are right behind him. I think it's Jeremiah in the end but a bad game and loss against IU and it's wide open again.

Halftime show conversation for one of the games I watched was all about Carr, Russell, and Smith. The September winners (Chambliss & Taylor) are going to be on irrelevant teams by voting time. Those three are your heavy leaders.

He’s got a 13:1 TD/INT ratio. If he keeps that up and Notre Dame is undefeated he’ll be there.

I love having Carr as the QB of our Irish and he is the best QB Freeman has had but Smith is the leader and it’s going to talk a lot to change that. Then you have the Mensah and Toney from Miami.

We still have to play Miami and i think it’s going to be a close game.

Smith is probably the best individual player in college football. But non-QBs mostly only win if there isn't a big-time QB from a serious title contender. (possible exception being 2020 but 2020 was a weird year).
Whoever wins the Notre Dame-Miami game will be a big-time QB from a serious title contender.
So: Carr for Heisman.

IF ND goes undefeated with Carr playing the way he is, the media is going to be clamoring for an ND Heisman winner. ESPN won't unless there is no clear cut SEC player.

Wisconsin is #9 in DFEI, North Carolina is #77

It’s all praise so we’ll take it but it’s fascinating to see “NFL Twitter” abuzz because Belichik was standing on the sidelines. Objectively zero reason to think UNC was some greater test than Wisconsin, or even MSU (#83 but were healthier WK 3)

How can you sit there with a straight face and say that ND hasn’t played anyone when you just said that Mensah has helped himself immensely with his play at Miami? The Hurricanes would have and more of a contest if they played Ft. Lauderdale’s St. Thomas Aquinas High School than the college teams they’ve played so far.
