What’s most incredible about Carr is his ball placement. It’s like he’s doing 15 yard, 30 yard handoffs. No lost efficiency needed from WRs to catch, no slowing down, extending, etc. it’s right in the basket

Phew. More impressive from this angle. These last two games are as impressive as we’ve ever seen CJ ball placement and velocity wise. I think he he’s added a few RPMs. And virtually nobody besides Irish fans and true ball knowers like Brooks are seeing it

Great play by Carr, but not really a highlight reel rep for Absher......

Only 8 guys in the top 25 for both 10+ and 20 yards passes, combined

Man Chip Kelly has still got it all these years later. Gonna get Chiles drafted

The accuracy can't be overstated enough. The incompletions are typically right there. He threw one behind Washington but otherwise he's just right on the money, right in the hands, every time.

The drop in the bucket to Faison where he caught it in the shadows was probably one of the best throws I've ever seen. Just absolute perfect placement right in the numbers. It was like the ball just appeared there.

This is either a inverted Cover 2 or a Cover 3 where someone totally busts at the bottom where Flanigan is but either way unreal for Carr to know Faison has leverage and if he dots the post he has him regardless

Other comments on the same throw:

Beautiful TD toss from CJ Carr on the post route.

Starts his eyes to the boundary to occupy the safety. Faison wins inside leverage. Carr makes a pinpoint throw for 6.

- Dane Brugler

CJ Carr has been doing some NFL-ing today

Eye manipulation, clean base, dime in the back of the end zone

- Trevor Sikkema

Seeing this throw in person was a privilege. Couldn't believe he was pulling the trigger as he did it ... and a perfect ball.

- David Ubben

Sorta crazy how much shredding a mediocre UNC versus any other mediocre means but Belichik made this a “money” game for CJ

The nfl fans saying they want to take him in the late first early second are so delusional lol, he’s a top 10 pick at the worst. Doesn’t matter if he doesn’t have Mahomes arm, he’s thrown several 50+ yard deep balls in games on a rope perfectly accurately.

I’m curious just how strong his arm actually is.

I know he throttles back for accuracy and touch on most of his throws.

I watched Penix, McCarthy, and Bo Nix all get taken in the top 15 in the last "big QB draft class," CJ will be off the board in the top 5 or 6 picks.
