Premer will go from #5 to #3 or #2 if he can show the coaches he can handle it. He has the superior athleticism, hands and tracking as a pass catcher. It's obviously one of the other things they need to see from him to move him up. I still hope/expect him to work into the rotation during the season.

The staff are not afraid of putting freshmen on the game roster if warranted. We had like 4-5 on offense and a couple on defense and this team is loaded to the gills at those positions: S, DE, OL, WR

People think these former players and coaches have cushy jobs but that is a CHORE of a co-host for both guys lmao

I didn't know this and just thinking of those two having to interact makes me laugh. I guess he drew the short straw of the Cover 3 guys.

This is well worth the watch - Chris Simms has been very complementary of Notre Dame all off season. This also belongs in the CJ Carr thread too for how good it is.

I listened to him all off season at random times. He's said: ND had the best offense in the country last year and shouldn't have been left out.

Very creative offensive system that can design power runs and get the ball down field in space.

His good friend is Kyle Shanahan and he lived both Love and Price.

CJ Carr - who he plays catch with in this podcast had more zip than ANY other QB he's done this with other than Mahomes. That includes Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Caleb Williams.

Hes really high on ND. In this podcast he lets an interesting tidbit slip. When he was there to interview CJ, he bumped into Zack Martin and Peyton Manning who was there for a ND camp for his son. I don't keep up with a lot of recruiting news but I wonder if that's been reported before. Maybe they'll add to the Hall of Fame parents...

Shane Gillis said on that Film Guy show that he was going to Tennessee for the Texas game because Peyton asked him if he wanted to sit with him...

Mike Frank claimed Arch wanted Peyton or Eli to go to ND, it just didn't work out.

I actually don't know how much I would love having a Manning on the team. The hype/media would be beyond ridiculous.

Still living in Austin at the time, I would hear a little about the Arch recruitment. I wasn't following closely for the Jimmy Clausen recruitment, but I don't know if it could have been nearly as fraught as the Manning recruitment.

Does Pete know this is a back shoulder? Even when they’re covered, that route/throw is still hard as hell to defend. “Intentionally trying to get it to No. 1” feels like forced narrative. It’s probably just an NFL arm making an NFL throw.

Pete doesn't know ball. For example, here is what he should say "Pre-snap, Carr sees 1 high coverage. Carr checks to a slot fade. If it is man coverage, slot fade all day. And that's what we get"
