It was.I thought they said it was Big Ten refs Saturday.
He should start by sending him to a choreographerHope the apology was for sending him to the practice squad
Because I specific remember booing when I heard it. To which my daughter goes, "I thought you liked the big ten?" LolIt was.
Lol, my wife had the same reaction. I told her I boo every conference’s officials because they all seem to screw us one way or the other.Because I specific remember booing when I heard it. To which my daughter goes, "I thought you liked the big ten?" Lol
That's like trying to insinuate that Marcus may not be ten thousand feet tall. I've never experienced total control over one human being, including myself.Listening last night, they were trying to insinuate that Marcus may not have total control of the team.
This is a great post. The rain thing is really, really mystifying. Listen to some of our fans (including some on this board), you would think the team can't function in wet conditions. The Notre Dame fanbase has an abnormal fear/obsession with two things I don't see as much in other fanbases:
1. Rain
2. How many visiting fans are in our home stadium
These two topics cause an unusual amount of wailing and gnashing of teeth in our fanbase.
Well said. And they irrationally believe great teams traveling to South Bend in November if/when it’s cold, will just fold. Do bad teams quit in cold weather when there’s nothing to play for (i.e., Miami w/ interim HC in Sun Bowl & FSU a few years ago when they sucked)? Yes, but Miami & SMU should have plenty to play for.The Notre Dame fanbase has an abnormal fear/obsession with two things I don't see as much in other fanbases:

2026 ND offense relies heavily on the pass game. Rain makes the pass game harder. This is a great post. The rain thing is really, really mystifying. Listen to some of our fans (including some on this board), you would think the team can't function in wet conditions.
When was the last time a "great" team even traveled to South Bend in November? It's usually Navy and ACC tomato cans that time of year. I guess Clemson in 2020? We won but it wasn't because they quit or folded.Well said. And they irrationally believe great teams traveling to South Bend in November if/when it’s cold, will just fold. Yogi did a YT segment with Blackledge leading up to the Purdue game to get insights after Todd called the MSU game. That video is worth a watch. But here is the recent release post Purdue.
I know a lot of people would love Yogi calling ND games. This will only fuel the fire, imo.
Like STL noted, those teams stunk and had already checked out so once ND threw 1st punch they quit. Much like the Sun Bowl after BK’s first season. I think Miami had just fired their HC & it was freezing by Miami standards. IIRC, the broadcast team had recently named Miami HC, Al Golden; in the booth as he was there to watch his new team.Yeah, I've never seen a Florida team play well up here in November unless it's unseasonably warm. Both times FSU came to town in November we smoked them (Not that they were great FSU teams, but you could tell they were done when they were huddled around heaters and coats while our boys went sleeveless). FWIW, in 27 meetings over the years Miami has only beaten us one time outside of Florida and it was an early October game in '84. I know we're they're only ranked opponent, but they better pray it's in the 50s at least for their sakes.
Our schedule has been relatively soft. But it is like the store brand of toilet paper instead of charminThe ND "soft schedule" Tourette's is getting annoying. It's like everyone is starting the year off with nothing by ranked opponents.
I hear ya. Went to the dentist and had an ND shirt on. Receptionist says she’s a fan and we should go undefeated because we don’t play anybody this year. I said excuse me? I took the opportunity to correct her.The ND "soft schedule" Tourette's is getting annoying. It's like everyone is starting the year off with nothing by ranked opponents.

The same Tulsa who beat Oklahoma state who beat oregon? In the modern NIL/Portal era, the gap between P4 and G6 is way bigger now than ever (besides Boise who I think are legit very good). Michigan State and Purdue aren't good but they are miles better than Western Kentucky or North Texas. We just saw this joke of an Arkansas team stomp Tulsa. Playing bad G4 teams is still trickier than most of the other top 10 teams' schedules.
