Throw in the fact that ND can use the SOFI connection to tell recruits they can pay them the money and then get them resources to use that money effectively.

I don’t give a shit if the jersey looks like NASCAR if we keep buying the best players. I’m sure they’ll still sell plain apparel. They’re finally on the forefront of college football and I’m not going to worry about a patch.

I’m ignorant how all this works. So the OSU deal could be worth more because they pay additional NIL payments to players? Even if the SoFi deal doesn’t allocate money to NIL explicitly it’s hard for me to think this doesn’t go directly to paying players on the roster.

Part of their contract states they will offer NIL opportunities to players. Our's is structured different.

I think you are underestimating ND athletics leadership if you think the university would sign off on a deal like this that wouldn’t strengthen our player acquisition capabilities in some way shape or form. They’ve proven themselves to be as savvy as any athletic department in the country imo considering the constraints / demands of independence.

I know for soccer kits, you can buy different versions… cheaper ones do not have the patches, while the more expensive do. Not sure if that’s how this will be
