I think this also says two things about IrishEnvy . . . First, we've got an outstanding moderating crew; kudos to them. Second, we've got a great community of fans here. If there's an impression of the Notre Dame family to be made, I'm glad we're one of the first things that pops up on search.

Him hanging around with Tyler Eifert an extra day to play golf means a lot.

He doesn't want to compete with his brother at the same position. I'm not saying that's the reason he's going to choose ND, it just made his decision much easier. Good get for you guys, if it comes to fruition. I really wanted Mike in Scarlet & Gray.

Glickster here. I agree that the group should be private and reading from the other comments on this site that maybe it will be and it will be better for everyone.

I do think the fans mean well on the bang bang group but they might just be a little misguided and maybe showing their frustrations from the last 20+ years.... who knows? There are some however that ruin things for the rest of the group and give the group a huge black eye that cant be overlooked becuase it is embarrasing to all of ND fans and Notre Dame in General.

I can admit that I was a very ignorant fan trying to talk to potential recruits but then realized pretty quickly that it was probably doing more harm than good. I think everyone on the groups thinks or wants to be an insider and it makes things very crazy at times. Near NSD it seemed everyone in the group had inside knowledge of a suprise recruit and blah blah blah...... and its so easy to get a rise from some of the posters as well. Everything would be fine if it just went private....... because even as a member I do think it does do more harm than good good becuase of it being so easily accessible.... and I still dont understand why Irish Chocolate wants to be in the gang, and an admin at that.

I know Im probably going to get some lashings for just admitting Im in the group....

I hate that group. Whoever said that it was immature adults talking to each other, and whoever said it was the worst of our fanbase is correct. Hell, all of us who b!tch about it are right. These people are a plague to the fanbase, and people like Grubl, with their awful syntax, grammar, and writing ability are the ringleaders. Makes me sick!

Well, Grubl just replied saying that wasn't where he got it from. He says his cousin is good friends with a current commit. He won't say who though.

Obviously, I'm part of it too, halfway to keep tabs on it, and halfway to try to help it right itself, with no avail. Its the loud minority leading the blind over there and that is the issue. If you have common sense you are welcome over here. I mean, most of us accepted Larry Small for goodness sake. We are a forgiving bunch, for the most part.

Glickster i respect you for coming forward. But there are so many people who want that group deleted. Its the laughing stock of this fan base. You guys need to realize it is doing aboustlotely no good to anyone or anything. Did it use to be a good group when Tee was montoering it? sure. it was meant for Tee and interact with recruits.There is about a hand full of people who want that group to stay together and i cant figure out why. Its no good. if you guys want to talk football there are plenty of groups for that. When guys from inside the football offices make a current player montior it and than you guys are being sued by Blue and Gold. I mean when is going to settle in. You got guys like Grubl who went on Envy now claiming hes got an inside source. The kid is telling Vernon Harvgreaves to commit to ND. Like i mean come on when its going to click that group needs to be shut down. The whole thing with Greenberry and a lot of posters that attacked Lynch were from that group. Sure there a good people in that group but its terrible. If you want info come on here and be respectful. Just please stop its not doing anybody any good what so ever.

I agree with you 100%. When it was first created and I somehow found my way to the group as I didnt even follow recruiting at the time, I found it interesting. Tee and DGB along with Ron Darby chatting it up with the fans, I thought it was awesome but I think many saw it as permission to talk to other recruits and when all three left I think some felt they still had permission to talk to them and vent their frustrations with them. Plus I think alot of people in the group want to be insiders and talk like they have secrets they cant tell, it got very weird near NSD with everyone thinking or saying they had inside sources telling them about a suprise commit that everyone is still waiting on. For what its worth it has been cleaned up a bit in the last couple of months but its still a bit messy....... by the way who is this Konad fella that claims he got kicked out of IE?

Althought it has a catchy name its just too infamous in many circles and sadly I agree that something needs to be done......

I guess it might come across as I am saying bad things about IE but I was actually curious about why some of the IE members were contribting to the board if they wanted it deleted. I think the basic message of this post was for some of you guys to step up and tell the board how you guys felt while attaching your name to it, there are some bang bangers that might actually listen to some, who have been somewhat regular posters like Ryan B (i think thats his name) that have some sense. The popping popcorn and big gulp line was to let them know they are getting rediculous and that they are being laughed at. The last line was simply a request to get along but to ask again for IE members to speak up. And maybe you guys have said what you felt, maybe I just couldnt put the IE name and the real name together.....

Also the "one of IE's finest" quote was making a sarcastic comment to this Konad dude that claimed he was kicked out of IE...... I guess I was trying to remind him that IE didnt want him and Bang Bang didnt either as he was trying to argue and it was going nowhere fast..... but I guess as I reread he wasnt making too bad of arguements.

This group really isn't into S&M. But a few pointers:

20+ years, when is anyone, including you going to take responsibility for your actions and stop trying to blame acting like a douche bag on everyone else including the team?

The farther from the core of IE I read, the more difficult it is to understand posts; did you mean "maybe" or "may be" two entirely different things.

You do not have the right to use blah, blah in this context.

If it does more harm than good, making it private will not fix that. It will then get worse. Liable, slander, and copyright violations are still violations whether or not the group is public or private. Ignorant post by dumb@sses are still ignorant posts . . . You get the idea.

The rest of your post is a false mea culpa. Maybe you can get someone to like you if humble yourself and confess your sins. Voila! You are saved!
