Evidently there may be a change of plans for Anzalone. Poster on Elevenwarriors said Anzalone may do a 180. I have no idea if this is a positive for ND, but evidently there is a chance Anzalone doesn't go to pOSU on Saturday. pOSU's 247 site has the following teaser:
What I Am Hearing

I broke the news early Sunday morning that Alex Anzalone will be at the Buckeyes’ spring game this weekend. Has Anzalone had a change of plans?

If he changed plans i have a gut feeling is that its for Pen state.

I really hope that our recruiting the linebacker position doesn't end up like our recruiting of the cornerback position last cycle. I know we have some young depth already on the team so I'm not entirely concerned, especially if Jaylon pops for ND later in the summer. Still, I hope it doesn't end up like that. Then again, that could just be bitter pessimism with it being Monday morning and all.

I'm feeling a little of that pessimism too at this point ... this is supposed to be the "big skill" recruiting year, and we have a commit from only one big skill player, Matuska, who will play DE. I'm thrilled with the commits we have, don't get me wrong, but I'd love to get some LBs on board. Anzalone would be the perfect start. He could probably play any of the four LB spots and would give us flexibility going forward. (I think we are recruiting him at ILB though, right?)

@NotoriousGman @RyGuy35 No, I have the audio of recording of Alex Anzalone saying OSU is his leader. Going to air it on tomorrow's podcast.

I guess we knew that though ...

stood next to him yesterday at ohio st's spring practice...very good size and you can tell he's a freak in the weight room...he's got big time Mike or will LB body type. seemed to have a good conversation with one of Ohio st's asst strength coaches and spent time talking with ohio st signee camren williams and armani reeves...seemed to be enjoying himself and moved around quite a bit.

I was reading a PSU site and supposedly there was information that part of the decision equation was which schools had the greatest chance of him being able to graduate with an MBA in 4 years since supposedly he will have a ton of AP classes by his senior year in high school. Supposedly pOSU, USC and UF were the schools that Anzalone felt gave him that option.

USC actually told him he could enroll there this summer and skip his entire senior year.

Not me. I hate State Penn and hope their recruiting classes suck. I hope they lose every game on their pathetic schedule every year. I root for Ohio State only when they play Michigan and State Penn each year.

Same here. I've noticed PA can be divided into 4 categories. Majority of us are split between State Penn and ND. The few left are Pitt fans and random fans of other schools. Really would have liked to see this kid land at ND. I hate OSU, but I hate PSU that much more.

This kid lives 5 minutes away from me. His head coach and my father are old coaching buddies. I know his athletic director. His principal's wife used to babysit me.

My sincere apologies to ND and IE...

Clearly Urban used his ol' standby recruiting tactic and sold him on being the next John Forbes Nash.

Ohio State's Fisher College is a damn fine business school, and being a stud at Ohio State will certainly give him a ton of connections. But Notre Dame's Mendoza College is a step (or two or five, in undergrad) above Ohio State, and the connections there are excellent too.

He should have read up on Tim Abromaitis if this were really the case.
