I think the idea of starting a thread to pass along something that Aaron's mother tweeted concerning her son's status with the football team isn't totally ridiculous. Maybe there is a larger case to be made that that says a lot about where we are as an internet-based culture, but that wasn't really my point.

All of the speculating and tortured analysis of what this woman's tweet could possibly mean, followed by the bad jokes....I don't know, I just feel like if someone happened upon this site for the first time, I'd hope this thread isn't what they would see first. I think it makes us look like losers, honestly. There are probably two or three posts in this thread that would be of any interest to someone that was here to read or talk about football.

And clearly the one I posted just before yours is one of them, you know with it's historical signifigance and all. Thanks for the support Tom.

Can someone tell me what happened here? I heard that Lynch was in a fight at practice, that he misses his HS gf, and that he is unhappy at ND. Please explain. I have been looking for anything concrete on this topic but have come up with nada. Many thx.

He needed to finish his academics before leaving.
I think the kid needs to grow up.He got into a fight during practice with another player.Thoma was clotheslined by Calabrese.So Kelly told the team that everyone needs to respect each other and if they couldnt do that then they didnt need to be at ND.Kelly was in Lynch's face about the fight and Lynch decided to leave.Its probably for the best.
