If a Stanford fan actually thought they would land Hawkins they are fools. He was always all USC, was set to choose Stanford and the day of the announcement Kiffin finally offered him and he delayed it till now

oh i know that he was all USC, but can you imagine if a recruit that was down to Michigan and ND showed up to his announcement and his parents were wearing ND apparel to only have their son choose Michigan. I would be a little bitter for sure

Considering the investment schools make in recruiting these guys, I think faking one of them out crosses a line. I could just be old school on this, but no way my parents would've joined in the prank.

I think that was February 1st, 2012 for Notre Dame. I'd like it if it was moved back to April 1 for next year, if at all possible.

Getting the latest news is different than, leaking confidential information, starting rumors, or making uneducated guesses. For the latter, Mark Twain had an excelent quote: "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." For the former two, Jesus had a good one, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."

It all comes down to ethics. They are not taught prominently enough in our society, let alone in grade school, high school, and college. Oh, yeah and in the workforce, and by government.

PS To distinguish class from ethics, class is the discipline that covers everything influencing an individual's behavior above that which is dictated by ethics. See the above as a negative example.

Yeah, that has been one of the tenants of plausible deniability. "But it's out there, what's a girl to do?" However, if everybody acts in a (semi) ethical manner, with intelligence, that **** dries up, (because most of it is stupid and has a very short shelf life.) Or to quote from your parents, "Everybody is doing it? Well, if so and so jumps off a bridge, does that mean you have to do it?"
