Nobody gives Lo Wood any credit, but who was the only corner with a pick-6 last year?

He was out of position and it was passed right to him
He could still be very good but that pick six did not really show me anything.

What are the odds Tee goes home, turns on espn, sees marcus dupree's 30 for 30 special, and joins back this fall? half irony, but seriously is there still a chance with him?

I wouldn't right off how our corners will play this year just yet..... Cooks and Elliot would have something to say about that.

IMO: We need Leonard Johnson to have a good draft day to reflect on what our DB staff can do.....

If Johnson goes in the top 3 rds and our young group of DB's play well this year we will not have a problem in the future with getting cb's to commit and stay here.

So, having perused these last few pages, I couldn't find a concrete reason why Tee left...

Is it really just homesickness? A family illness?

And if so, can he come back?

If it is home sickness, its too bad that he will probably regret it when he is older. I hope he some how comes back and finishes what he committed to and grows as a man. I do like him and think he is good kid, maybe too sensitive...but he will regret giving up what he committed to and going back on his word

I had a bad gut feeling when Deontay pulled that signing day switch that this would happen. I played at a tiny NAIA school w/ about .000001% of the pressure these kids have on them, and we had guys leave every single year, for a variety of reasons. Like someone else said before, w/out his cousin/best friend, going across the country isn't an easy thing for a kid to do. I am not trying to make up excuses for him, but I can see how this would happen. Recruiting is frustrating b/c they are kids, and a lot of them make decisions that show their age. ND will be fine.

Good luck to Tee, and I hope he finds the path for him.

Reading those tweets, tells me all that I already suspected. The kid is immature. I realize they're only 18 but they are both divas. A lot of times the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. It's just to bad they couldn't value a Notre Dame education. They will regret it when they are working back in Fresno when they are 40.

I can't figure this one out. Only three days ago he tweeted a picture of his ND football locker and said, "For y'all who don't know?? I'm roccin' that #1 at ND." Something seems to have changed in just the last couple of days.

I'd think this has to be grades-related. Didn't someone say midterm grades came out this week? But if it's grades-related I don't get why he is gone for good ... many students have crappy grades their first semester. You can't fail out in one half of one semester. I'm just genuinely curious. He was one recruit who seemed truly to love and be excited about ND.

Good luck wherever he may land. From all his tweets, it sounded like he liked ND. I would rather it happen now, means that many more reps for the guys we do have. Time for some guys to step up!

You probably can't fail out after half a semester; however, you probably have met with the academic advisers and realize how much you need to do to get back into good academic standing. Maybe he just didn't want to do it.

I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE IF THIS IS ACTUALLY TRUE FOR TEE

I can tell you several things that lead up this. I have become friends with Tee and we often talked late night. I believe he was very lonely, as in he was not getting any...take it for whats its worth. Not only that, through my conversations with Tee, I do not believe he was taking his school work seriously. The two point I am trying to make is he wanted to meet some girls here and he never did. He told me several times it is not what it seems to be a ND player where girls will throw themselves at you. Im sure he would snap his fingers in high school and get himself some play. Well the women at ND are not like that. Other than that I could see grades being a huge issue as he was almost always on FB.

If he left because he couldn't "get some" that is the most ridiculous reason i've ever heard.... I think younger generations are obviously becoming unintelligent....My God we are all in trouble.....

I don't blame Tee, I blame Rap Music because this is the life style it suggest to the youth of America!!!!!

Everyone should stick their own egos where the Sun doesn't shine and shut up. We will learn gradually what this is all about. Life is more complicated than some people insist on pontificating about. Another person's life is also not just like one's own, and in fact may not be anything like one's own. That sort of demeaning racing-to-judgement holier-than-thou commentary degrades everyone and everything, including Notre Dame.

Regarding the Team: Tee Shepard had not yet played a down. I've read nowhere that Diaco has given him the job, and told the other DBs not to bother. Mike Floyd said Jalen Brown was very good --- maybe it's just possible that he is. Recently a track meet showed that Josh Atkinson had elite speed. Maybe being the son of an all-pro DB just possibly could have rubbed off on him. Eilar Hardy was close to getting playing time depth chart status last year as a CB when he got hurt --- maybe he's actually good. Wood and Jackson have both received some good comments from coaches; maybe the coaches actually meant them. Then there's CJProsise, allegedly a real gem in the rough; and actually several other possibles who have been mentioned. I'll bet that all these guys can backpedal, swivel hip, and chew gum at the same time.

Tee Shepard has had a lot to overcome already in his life; we don't have to pile on to it. Really disgusting responses here and there.

So...I've seen Tee called a thug, drama queen, immature, etc.

Where the hell were these comments when he was committed to play football at ND? Some of you need to grow up.

Was he doing engineering like he intended to? There are some majors you can get by not taking things seriously. By the sheer number of kids who drop engineering while working their asses off because they get bad grades first semester this would not at all surprise me.

He was a well hidden immature thug drama queen while attending ND.

His decision to leave a 4 year commitment to ND after a month is immature. If there was a family loss, then that is unfortunate and too bad. But that wouldn't change the fact that the decision to leave was short-sighted and immature.
