I linked a premium ISD article that talks about the ND offer. The latest news report about him was from 5 days ago about his Texas offer. It said he has family in the Dallas area and how he was visiting Syracuse for junior day.

Shumate is kinda a stud....I believe Rivals had him as the #7 safety.

I think he is a bit different more of a cover safety than shumate (didn't someone say he nay be playing something similar to what slaughter did vs. Fsu). Bell is more of a CB/S type and Shumate a S/OLB type IMO.

Okay maybe i should state this a little more clearly. I love all of our current players and signed players from last class, but you are kidding yourself if you think that we have a ball hawking safety on the roster that was as highly rated as this guy is.

Really? The majority of his highlights show him attacking the ball and breaking up passes opposing to moving down into the box in run support. I would think our base package (3-4) would have more of a run stopper at SS and a ball hawker at FS.

Could definitely be wrong though.

Last yr our "Hyrid" Slaughter was in the box and Smith or Motta was backing him up

Conventionally where slaughter played alot last yr a corner would be playing (Matheiu)

So our biggest hitter is not our starting SS, Bell could be a FS though haven't don't much research

I only looked at a few pages on Volnation, but did glean a few things from their board.

Vonn grew up a big Tennessee fan and a huge Eric Berry fan.

Moved from Chattanooga Tennessee to Georgia last year.

Tennessee thinks he is a virtual lock and they have 68 pages of nonsense that confirms it. LOL
