So...I bought a 3 month subscription to Hockeystreams.com - and it's kind of a big deal. I'm not doing it because I can't watch the Bruins - I live in Boston - they're always on. I did it so I could watch more games (especially 10PM tilts) whenever I want. The quality is great on the computer, it's great on my iPhone, but poor on my Xbox at this point.

Really happy with being able to watch all the games - especially during the stretch run. Would def. advise anyone to get it if they are looking for a more stable alternative to other hockey streaming websites at a lower cost than NHL.

I would be, reasonably priced?

About 35 bucks for 3 months - something like 80 for the entire season. I just got a 3 month though - want to see how much I use it first.

Well with last nights win the Flyers are 1 win and 2 points away from equaling their output from last year. Crazy the difference in the 2 years

The Western Conference continues to be a wild ride. Kings are playing well lately and rising back up in the standings. San Jose has regained their form and are playing very well. All the teams in the 3rd through about the 12th position still have a shot to make (or not make) the playoffs.

The next few days before the trade deadline should be interesting.

The kings got Dustin Penner GOIRISH

They gave up a substantial sum to get Penner and his 4 mil cap hit. Very surprised about this trade - Teubert and a 1st? Not sure he's worth that much, but good on the Kings for doing something on this boring trade deadline day.

The Kings have quite a log jam of defensemen in the minors right now. Especially with Martinez doing so well, much sooner than anyone expected with the big club. Teubert has had some injury issues and didn't look like he would crack the top 6 d-men with the big club anytime soon.

The draft picks I think they can afford since they have spent the past 4 years building through the draft and stockpiling prospects. At this stage, 1 or 2 picks isn't going to make or break the Kings especially when this years' draft is looking to be sort of weak.

Even with the 4 mil cap hit, the Kings still have plenty of room to sign Doughty and Simmonds and still pursue other free agents in the summer. Handzus probably won't be kept and that is 4 million or so right there. Both goaltenders are locked up for a while and the core of the team is already on good contracts. Doughty will command a pretty good price (even though he is having a dip in his stats) and the Kings want to lock him up for as long as they can. Plus, Penner will only have one year after this one, so if he is a total bust, they aren't saddled with multiple years of misery.

They didn't give up any current roster players which is good. They kept top tier prospects (like Brayden Schenn) and they gave up a player that was in a position that currently has a good surplus. Don't get me wrong, I don't know if Penner is the great pick up everyone is thinking he is, but I don't think it was too expensive. It fills a need without damaging the core.

In practice today, the Kings have a first line of Penner, Kopitar, and Wayne Simmonds. That is a big, grinding first line. Personally, I would have rather had Brown on the right wing, but Simmonds has been playing well with Kopitar of late, so I am okay with that too.

I don't mind our Arnott trade at all.

In hindsight, he has been huge for the Caps (until he got hurt) but if New Jersey wasn't going to contend this year it's a win-win when looking at the long term.

In other news, the New York Rangers are a freaking scary 7 seed... Washington needs to get the hell out of second place or NYR needs to grab a #6 seed.

Kings just lost their leading scorer Kopitar for at least 6 weeks. This coming right after losing their second leading scorer, Justin Williams, for 3 to 4 weeks. just in time for the playoffs too.

Los Angeles Kings' Anze Kopitar out 6 weeks with broken right ankle suffered vs. Colorado Avalance - ESPN Los Angeles

I am just crushed! Saturday was one of the only games I haven't gone to this season and I am somewhat happy I wasn't there. He just turned weird and went down and the ankle just buckled under him. Guess we are going to see what this team is made of with this amount of adversity.

He was our Iron Man too! Most consecutive games in Kings history. 330-some games. Just took over the number one slot a few games ago. Bad luck.

Caps are so screwed with the matchup against the Rangers.... I watched the three losses we had to NY and they skated circles around us. With 100% sincerity I expect the Caps to be done in 4 games. So mad right now.

Gonna be a tough matchup that's for sure. I'm now pretty glad the Flyers fell to the #2 seed.

The Boston and Montreal series is gonna be pretty interesting considering all the bad blood between the 2
