This kid has serious game!!! He was not watched by many of us because he plays in Wash, however he is major get. He has very good speed, great hip movement and breaks tackles. Glad to have him!! He will play early and often.

I think you might be right...he seems like he has some really good vision. I would argue basic athleticism (which he clearly has) and vision gets you in the rotation. The only thing that would slow him is blitz pick-up...

If he is who he appears to be, he already has the vision that Wood had say in the middle of '10...good enough to see the field...does he catch the ball well?

yea...his HS film he was not as smooth as Russel, but they look similar

Damn I didn't think anyone else would know Prince was a RB in high school. I thought people would be flipping out on me for saying that lol. Good job phgreek.

He won't have to worry about blitz pickup and he can catch the ball, because he will be playing slot for ND.

honestly...some of his stuff is still up on rivals and elsewhere...happened to look over some of his film about a week ago because someone else made a comparison between him and another back...can't recall where or which back...but I just happened to see some of his stuff recently...luck is all.

maybe...but he seems more like a true tailback to me...we seem to work hard to get the talent on the field, so it might be.

Russell, Brown and Prosise are the 'steals' of this class.

Prosise, Brown and most of our 3* were graded so close to 4*, its a class full of potentially underrated players.

Russel was a 4*

...so to me a steal means underrated, overlooked, and clearly better than others rated higher.

Prosise and Brown...Absolutely true.

Russel, maybe, but 4* is pretty solid grade. I think he is a pretty widely know talent we got. In his case steal might mean we were the dog and won his love anyway...

I believe this to be a 16 steal class. (Except Gunner, who we clearly stole, ask Reject Miles.)

Underrated.

Sorry, correct answer was Turner.

But seriously, the decommits ( and non-commits eg AA) of some of the big names at the end really made us miss how good some of these guys are. Honestly, Im more than happy with any of the guy we got because I know they want to play for ND. Id rather than have that than a more talented guy who isnt concerned about ND or who isnt happy to be at ND.

I think that Baratti, Brown, Harrell and Fergie Ferg are underrated as 3-stars, but I think Turner is rated right on. His offer list isn't good and Dieter ate his dinner when they went one on one. Sorry, I know we're supposed to think every 3-star will develop into a solid player at ND, but I don't see Turner making much of an impact. Hoping I'm wrong (wouldn't be the first time, lol).

I think Turner will have a impact. Atleast on special teams. He ran a 4.45 40 in front of Irish coaches. He also had a really good shuttle time that day. He's 6'2" 205. IMO he has just as much potential as any of our safeties. IDK if that impact will come his freshman year or when he is a 5th year senior but I guarantee he will make a impact.

I hope you're right. If that 40-time is true, how does a 6'2", 205LB safety not get more offers? His best offer besides ND is Indianna and Akron (I think). And the Baratti excuse won't work. Wrong color, lol. And if that 4.5 is legit, I don't know how Deiter was burning him in their head-head matchup. He must just not make reads? Have a low football IQ? Bad hip flexibility? Anyways, this is KR's thread so no sense in going on about this. I think his 3-star rating was right on. Hopefully he's one of those late bloomers and is loaded to the gills with motivation.

Mods-can you move DGB out of the commit section? It's giving me a weak stomach.

I agree to an extent.
My 'steal' list would go something like:

Brown
Russell (if you can call a 4* a steal)
Baratti
Ferguson
Prosise
Turner
Harrell

(not that that is I rank how good they are, but rathering there "stealingness").

SO, I dont think Turner is going to as much of a stud as Ferguson, but I still think he will be productive (though not initially). But, Hey yeah never know.
Also, I trust Kelly and the staff. If they want turner (or anyone else) I want them as well. Im sur they know more about football and the personal situations than we do.

Maybe The Hendrix Exoeriene could give us some more info. I know that John played Cornerback the past few years and Idk if he has good enough hip flexibility for corner at the next level but I do think it's good enough for safety. Maybe other schools didnt want to take the chance?

@Jake_Brown: Just talked to incoming #NotreDame RB KeiVarae Russell. His parting words: "Stay tuned man. We're gonna go out and work."

It is easy to forget, because of who we lost, who we got in this last recruiting cycle. There may not be a lot of them, but I like the **** out of the guys that are coming in.

The 2012 class and the 2013 classes have me very excited for the future. The staff is bringing in quality kids that are also great football players.

Per Tunnel Vision Came into camp in great shape along with Neal and Shumate.

IMO he will redshirt because we already have so much depth at RB/Slot.

In 2012? I assume he'll be the #3 Z WR. Kelly doesn't usually spread meaningful reps that far down the depth chart.

I agree.

You already have Toma, not to mention Theo Riddick getting touches out of the slot and Neal who is way more talented. Hard to see him getting on the field this year.

IMO a redshirt is a good idea simply to let him progress as a WR... assuming that's the track we're putting him on. He really hasn't played that position. If we're going to use him in the Theo Riddick role (i.e. RB first, receiver second) then I could see him getting on the field.
