Be a huge surprise to most people if we got him. Seem's like he is Northwestern's to lose.

Looks like 1pm EST. Please correct me if i'm wrong, but that is what the google tell me.

If the mystery guy is indeed Brice Butler, and for some reason Ifeadi chose ND, what a recruiting weekend. Imagine getting all of this in one weekend.

-Ifeadi Odenigbo
-Brice Butler
-Armond Armstead
-Arik Armstead
-Elijah Shumate

I would seriously get **** drunk.

I hope he's Irish, but my guess is Stanford.

Here's to hope!

Wasn't he denied admissions for Stanford? Which means NW is next bet.

Gotta respect a kid who puts academics on par with football, maybe even ahead. He's gonna be set for life. Just wish we could have gotten 4 years out of him in the Bend.

Best of luck Ifeadi.

Good luck to Ifeadi. Hate losing out on a player to a football program like Northwestern though.

Good for him, I'm glad he's a player that is actually staying true to what he said all along, academics matters. Good Luck to him.

Couldn't agree more, on all counts!

If not ND, I'm glad it's NW.

Serious? Why? Good program, great coach and great academics. Not to mention no threat to us. I'd agree if you said Michigan, USC or the like but NW... really?

For those of you scratching your head about NW being the choice, let's think about it for a second:

-NW is a world-class university
-NW is near Chicago, which is of course the greatest city on the planet
-NW has produced NFL d-linemen the last few years
-Charlton Heston, one of the ultimate badasses in American history, was an alum

I think he made an excellent choice, just not the best (ND)

Northwestern hasn't won a bowl game since Truman was President. It's obviously a great university academically. I specifically said the football program.

The last decade has been a down one for Notre Dame and an up one for Northwestern and we've still averaged two more wins per year than them. Your point was what? The football programs aren't comparable.

My point was (although I don't feel this way) people could argue one program is on their way up, and the other down. NW has reached their ceiling IMO, and I would never argue their program is comparable to ND,, BUT it isn't like he is going to Yale, he will be playing big time football against top notch competition at NW. The Cats are far from chopped liver.

Wait, how are you getting 2 more wins per year? We have won 78 and they have won 68 since 2000. That is 1 per year.
