Will be visited by ND coaches Friday and make a decision over the weekend. Looks like we should pick up two 4:s: players by 1/9.

Didn't know much about this guy at all until the all american games. But from the few things i've read, he's a nice pick up for you guys. He was pretty good during the game and even played running back if I'm not mistaken.

Maybe it's already been posted, but is there a reason Jordan didn't flip sooner and is still committed to NB? It just seems odd to me that everyone and their brother believes he'll flip to ND and that it's only a matter of time...so what is he waiting on? I believe as much as anyone that his flip is only a matter of time...but I'm just curious why it hasn't happened sooner?

Because he loves Nebraska also and wants to take his time to make sure he makes the best decision for himself.

Makes perfect sense and if that's the case, who's to say he won't stick with his commitment? I'm not trying to stir the pot. I'm just trying to not get my hopes up about the crazy world that is recruiting.

I would be more worried if I were Nebraska fan. I agree that waiting this much time after a visit is usually telling. However, going this long without re-affirming a commitment is more telling, imo.

I read somewhere that he still talks to NB coaches almost every day

i believe the only thing that will potentially deter him from ND is the fact that we have 3 WR commits already; im not saying he is scared of competition or anything silly like that, but im sure it is on his mind...

I doubt it. Of our current WRs, only Jones and Daniels were rated higher, and of the current commits, only DGB is rated higher. Our WR depth chart is extremely inviting, regardless of who's currently committed.

I think this nugget came from Lax, but the longer this process drags on, the better it's supposed to be for ND.

Westerkamp stated earlier that he'd make a final decision after Tuesday's Semper Fi AA game. We just learned that he'll be receiving an in-home visit from ND coaches this Friday, and that he'll decide after this weekend.

Virtually every factor involved here points to ND.

indeed, it seems like a no-brainer for ND and i feel confident he will come.

my post above is outlining essentially the ONLY reason i could see why he would stick with nebraska. our current class (3 WR) compared to their current class (1 WR; him); at nebraska he can start from day 1, at ND that is certainly possible, but not as likely.

I understand your point.

While Nebraska's WR recruits are fewer, at ND Mr. Westerkamp could certainly compete and challenge for very early PT his freshman year....

The longer Jordan delays the more likely he remains a Husker, in my opinion. In fact, as of right ow, my gut tells me he remains Husker.

That being said, I hope I'm wrong. But Nebraska has a ton to offer.

I'm genuinely curious what JK thinks are Nebraska's high points.

They don't offer an appealing climate, location, or lots of attractive coeds. Their Football ROI is in the bottom 13% of the BCS. And their program is mired in mediocrity within a mediocre conference.

What am I missing?

I have to disagree. They offer a great football school in a cool little-big college town. They have a less awesome fan base than us, ;) , but I still dig the Huskers ability to do well with their offense.

They didn't meet expectations at all in the Big10, but they will.

Oh yeah WJ, he's white. So no need in quoting the whiteboy version of the statistics since whiteboys are really "mongrels," that is they hail from too many nations and backgrounds to be considered worthy a decent statistic based on background...

Bo Pelini can flat *** out coach.

This is just my opinion, of course.

Like I said, I hope he ends up here.

They do off attractive coeds. Nebraska is full of cute college aged girls from across the corn fields. Not all of them go to college however.

I quoted the overall Football ROI ranking earlier. The Caucasian ranking is actually less flattering for Nebraska; they're 65th out of 70th (bottom 7%). I frequently hear people refer to UN as a "good school", and I'm curious where that impression comes from.

In any case, I really don't want to be snobbish with the ROI. I realize that recruits often choose a school for reasons other than education. I just don't see how Nebraska could be more attractive than ND in any of those "other" categories. If Jordan ends up reaffirming his commitment, I'd imagine it will be out of loyalty.
