Denard Robinson Seeks Opinion of NFL Draft Advisory Board

Didn't see this posted anywhere else. Forgive me if I've missed something.

As the article states, he most likely won't like what he hears and will be back. He will have to switch positions at some point to play on Sunday, but I find it hard to believe that he would project as an early round pick at a different position at this point.

The Raiders will draft anyone. Please go. I am sick of him.

Denard, I think you will go high in the first round. Good luck

I assuming that was a joke.......come on seriously Denard, you have as good a chance of playing QB in the NFL as I do. Don't get me wrong, he is a good college quarterback who lives off his feet. My 8 year old neighbor has a better arm and more accuracy than good old Shoelace. I hope he is dumb enough to leave, but I doubt it.

Positives of Staying:
Another year with teammates
Slim possibility of B10 championship
Break Michigan records

Negatives of Staying:
Possibility of hurting your legs which is the only thing you have going for you.

He would make a nice slot receiver. Regardless of the vile team he plays for, the kid makes things happen with the ball in his hands.

I think he'd be a nightmare out of the backfield....ala Reggie Bu$h if they had a viable option at qb next year.

They'd need a good option at RB as well. He, IMO, is too small and fragile kind of like we're seeing from Vick this year. He is a monster with the ball, though.

He'll get his unsatisfactory grade (probably a mid rounder at best) and slink back to Ann Arbor.

He is a terrible quarterback prospect and likely projects as a slot receiver. Although he has the great speed and the agility to be a weapon in the open field, he is extremely raw and has no skills as a wide receiver. Golden Tate was a monster college receiver, with great speed and superior open field running ability to Robinson, and is finally finding some sort of rhythm as an NFL wideout late in his second season. Robinson is Tate times 10 in terms of rawness, and he doesn't have Golden's sheer tackle-breaking ability.

So what your saying is that he is an amazing draft choice with unlimited potential and he will leave UM, be the #1 pick, and become the greatest nfl player ever?

I guess my question is, what's so dumb about it?

What does Denard Robinson benefit from going back to Michigan, if his dream is, above all else, to play NFL football?

My personal opinion (and I could be wrong), is that everyone already knows everything they need to about Robinson as a QB. Minds are made up. Could he go back to Ann Arbor and get a bit better? Maybe. But as you said, his accuracy is below average and he has a sub-par arm. His QB stock, again in my opinion, will not and CAN NOT go up enought to make much of a difference.

Will it go up as an athlete? How could it? Everyone knows he's a freak of an athlete. Speed, speed, speed. Will going back for another year change this? No.

I truely believe his draft stock is, right now, as high as it will ever be. What's the benefit, purely from a football standpoint, if he goes back? He's not good enough to guarentee he could pay back the insurance for elite athletes the NCAA offers, so injury ends his career with no monetary promises.

If this is a purely Football decision, I think he would go.

He's going to be a WR in the NFL so it doesn't matter when he leaves. He could be a Josh Cribbs type of player. He isn't as big as Cribbs but that will probably be his ceiling.

I don't know about that. RBs have to learn blocking schemes and such. Denard's primary threat is running from the QB position, from which he is not expected to run. He also doesn't have the low center of gravity and thick lower body most RBs do. I envision him as more of an Antwan Randle El, or more recently, Armanti Edwards-type player, because I think we all know he sure as hell can't play QB in the NFL. And I disagree with those of you saying we need to prove something against Denard. I don't give a damn about a litmus test or anything, I want to beat michigan, and as we have seen, that doesn't happen if Denard is starting for them.

Agree with you guys a return/slot man. Look at all the slot Wr that were former Qb in college it seems they can grasp an offense a lot faster because they played Qb. They know how to run the routes and crisp ones at that because they realize what the intentions of routes do for designed plays. His explosiveness will make it difficult for teams to keep him off the field i can see him getting a decent amount of PT as a rookie either ST or slot.

I hope he doesn't go. They'll be better with Gardner than with Robinson after he gets the reps. The writing has been on the wall for awhile now with Gardner consistently getting more and more snaps. And if he does go they get another schollie to use.

I'd much rather prove that we can beat Denard. We can't beat USC either but I don't want to stop playing them and replace that game with some cupcake. Trust me, I want to beat Michigan as badly as the next guy, but I wanna see that we, as a team, have made the necessary improvements to beat the one guy who has had our number. Why take the easy way out just so we can say we beat Michigan?

lol at those of you thinkin hes asking to be projected in a rnd as a qb. #clueless. Hes a 2-4 rnd(assuming he runs a lowwww 4.4 or under) and that wont change with another year of him playing QB in college. Not really a reason to stay football wise unless he switches to wr next year to move up in draft.
